Let me start by saying that this holder comes pre-cut with a recessed area for badges shaped exactly like what is pictured. This is perfect for carrying my badge off duty. My badge pins through the pre-cut openings in the recessed area of the leather. The metal belt clip on the back is extremely sturdy. The velcro that attaches the front to the back is very secure. I haven't worn it around my neck yet, but it does come with a neck chain, which fits through 2 small metal reenforced holes above your badge. The holes are barely visible without the chain on. Overall, this holder gives off a very professional appearance while still being extremely functional and secure.

Just as described. Badge fits well and is easy to attach with the Velcro back which opens to allow you to secure the pin easily. Holds the badge well, and so far the badge has not slipped within the holder. As for durability, will have to wait and see. When I opened the Velcro back, 2 small round cloth pieces fell out, so not sure what their function is supposed to be for. No instructions, but seems to work fine without them. I just didn't use them not knowing their function. Overall I'm pleased.

Like others, I found it needed a little surgery with an X-Acto knife to make it work properly. Otherwise the badge sits too low and protrudes below the bottom of the holder. The factory cut-outs are too low.Perhaps other agencies have badges where the pin is mounted lower than mine.The holder was well made other than that and performs as it should. I would buy another.

After getting promoted to Lieutenant I was issued a new carry badge and I needed to have a badge holder for when I’m in plain clothes. I ordered this holder and when it arrived I was very happy to see the quality of the product. The badge stays firmly in place and doesnt rattle around. While wearing it around the neck it does move around quiet a bit but it’s nothing detrimental just a minor nuisance. All in all great purchase for the price and I will be ordering these for my Sgt’s

This badge holder fits the standard police shield style badge. The leather is recessed so that the shield can sit inside the inner part with an outer layer of leather around the outside to protect the badge. I did have to shave off a small bit of the outer layer of leather in order for the badge to fit exactly the way I wanted, but the alteration took only a few seconds. I really like this badge holder and I don't really see myself needing a new one unless I go to a sheriff's office or federal agency that don't use the standard shield
