I suspect it will depend on the coil level of the springs and the original thickness. I would expect even less compression as the springs will fight against compression. but it should work as a protector bag if your mattress fits inside.

Q: I saw the seller say the thickness of the plastic is 105 microns? That is 0.105 mil. Most plastic covers are in the range of 4-6 mil. Is this right

105 microns (micrometer) is 4.13386 mil (thousandths of an inch) just divide microns by 25.4 to get mil

Q: Does the bag have a gusset or is it like a giant flat bag? What are the dimensions when it is flat?
