Great product, very durable, looks fantastic and very easy to fit and set up. Not the best value for money but a comprehensive product and worth the price tag.

Lasted 4 years
I enjoyed this product and the ongoing software updates. There is good programmability and one can do most things on the watch that the phone does.If you want to be able to leave the phone “at home” and use the model with the cellular functionality, the phone must be left connected (whether by cellular or WiFi). This is particularly important with the walkie talkie function which uses the FaceTime functionality of the phone even if you have a cellular connection to the watch. Ie it connects via cellular to a tower; then WiFi or cellular to you phone. It won’t work if your phone is off or has no connection even if the watch has good cellular. The strap lasted about 3 years and then petrified and broke; but new / spares are cheap. The watch finally died after four years when I went snorkelling to 10m. I am not sure what the specifications say it should take, but it had a few issues while I was down there and started trying to call emergency before dying about 30 mins later. I tried drying it out and recharging etc, but it’s toast. It worked well until then though. I will now try an ultra2.

Still a great watch in 2022!
Hi folks! So today I received the Apple Watch Series 6 in Product Red. Series 7 is the latest Apple Watch, but the series 6 is extremely similar to the 7.So it’s still early days. It only arrived today, but already this is an absolutely huge improvement over the Series 3 that I have been using. The first good point is the display. It’s noticeably bigger than the series 3, and nice to look at too. It helps that the bezels are far smaller, and they are curved (makes it nice to look at) but the display itself is also crystal clear. Colours are great too!I decided on product Red because I like the colour, and the material of the strap is also a little different compared to the series 3 I had previously. Both the series 3 and 6 have a silicone strap, but the material has been improved with the series 6…it’s a newer type of silicone called fluoroelastomer. This is supposed to be a better, stronger material that is also less likely to be damaged when coming into contact with harsh or abrasive substances etc. Ultimately, the strap is just simply better and should last longer than ever before. It’s still high quality like all of the other straps from Apple, but you can definitely feel a difference.Apart from the look and feel of it though, it’s absolutely packed with so much cool tech. Yes it’s great for fitness, and yes it does sleep tracking very well. It also has a nice big selection of Watch faces, and you can use your own Memoji as a watch face too. That’s very cool! What has me all excited though is the ECG, heart rate monitor and blood oxygen apps - they are all superb. You shouldn’t rely solely on these of course, but it’s nice to have the ability to check on your own heart, in your own time, on your own wrist. Absolutely superb!!Battery life has been great so far. It has lasted a full day and still has around 60% remaining. It’s day one with my new watch, so I’ve been using it all day…and yet the battery seems to be doing great! It will take a few days to see how the battery actually holds up, but so far, so good! The Watch app for iPhone is also very handy. You can do most things on the watch itself, but the app just makes it a little bit easier to see all of the settings in one place.Oh and the speaker on the Apple Watch is MUCH louder compared with the series 3. The series 3 now seems very quiet indeed. So as I said, it is still early days. Everything is looking good so far. But comparing the 6 to the 3, I am very pleased. It’s certainly worth the upgrade if you are considering it…that is unless the series 7 tempts you even more.If you aren’t yet able to splash out on a series 7, the series 6 is an incredible alternative.

Great piece of tech if you have the time to play with it
I had to use it for almost a month now to finally be able to leave a review as honest as I can, due to the fact that it’s a new piece of tech for me, jumping from series 1 which is getting dust in a drawer for some years now, to this.I will start by saying that this watch is taught of being a sort of “phone extension”, and in many times they compliment each other in functions, for example:-Since I have this watch, I didn’t had to take my phone out of the pocket to answer to a message or call, just did it from the watch (which btw, it has a great voice and language recognition, so you can answer to a message with ease just by dictation);-Better that some Garmin or Suunto fitness watches in my opinion, when is used together with the phone. I walk a lot, minimum 14 km when I’m at work and around 5 when not. The watch itself is okay when it comes to tracking but I found it to be more accurate when you have the phone with you, iOS uses the sensors of both devices in order to understand the actual speed, pace, elevation etc. (I use an 11 Pro, cannot say if users of older models would have the same experience)Initially wasn’t decided if I want the Cellular version or this one but after using it, I think I did a pretty good choice. I’m not the type of person to leave my phone at home and to go for a run or whatever just having my watch and AirPods, because you might never know what can happen or who you going to run into and you might need the phone but you don’t have it. The watch itself is good as an accessory or extension, but not as a standalone device. And also the sim contract for being able to make calls from the watch if you have the cellular is £20/month extra, if you’re lucky and you’re on one of the three carriers. So a big NO for me.In a nutshell, if you come from an ancient model to this one, you’ll be surprised how great this is and how many functions it has. If you’re Apple user and want to try it, you’ll fall in love with it and you’ll keep it.Is it worth the price? I got it with £20 less than the series 5 at the time of purchase, so you’ll be the judge ;)PS: buy a case protector if you decide to go with aluminium model, it scratches like crazy really fast, both the case and the screen.
