Works very well.
Keeps your hands and fingers from getting shredded by big catfish. Very good purchase. Wished I had bought this a long time ago.

Best fish grips - great quality
I went trough several designs and keep going back to Rapala. Primarily fish salt water so large mouth fish. May not work on small mouth fresh water fish. These are actually bit longer than 9” which works great. They float. Have a long enough leash to secure to your wrist.Only downside is that stainless steal pins are getting rusty, but pretty much any other brand will have the same issue. Have to remember to always rinse them, after each use.Used these with halibut, sharks, and lingcod - those sharp teeth did not damage material at all.

Simple, Light-Weight, Quality....and it floats
If you've ever dropped your stainless gripper in the lake, like I have, you'll appreciate that these grippers float. They are a simple and effective solution that feels like quality and should last a long time. I do recommend this product.

Don't let that big one get away or bite you!
They're TOUGH, they float, and they hold fish so you don't get bit. If you fish where the fish have teeth, these are a must have. The only downside is the cord they come with- It would be nice if it was either a bungee or had a carabiner at the end.

Great for beginning fisherman
My daughter and her friends used this on a recent BWCA canoe trip and loved it. They could use to secure the fish while unhooking it. Saved the fish from being manhandled which is really hard on the fish. If also helps prevent getting your fingers snagged by fishing hooks. Great that if floats as well.

Got it today, got to try it out tonight.
Worked great on a 30 inch Channel catfish. Had no problems holding on to the fish no matter how much he whipped around. Bonus, didn't get my hands sandpapered to death holding him up. Worth every penny.

Necessary for toothy Fisk
All I can say is if you Muskie fish or fish for anything “toothy”, you’ll be glad you have these. I was able to land a 47” Muskie on a canoeing trip. Jammed these in its mouth, clamped down and drug it over the gunnels of my canoe. If I didn’t have these I never would have gotten that fish in the boat. Highly recommend.
