I honestly didn’t expect to love these as much as I do, but WOW. These self-watering spikes are both functional and surprisingly pretty. I filled them up & popped them into my indoor trees, and it’s been steadily watering the soil without over-saturating it. Break easy, but beautiful.

I am a plant hoarder so to speak, I just absolutely love plants my problem is, is I'm not good at keeping them watered all the time surprisingly so I have not killed too many! A coworker turned me on to these bulbs that I have heard about but wasn't quite sure how they worked. I did not want to get any that look like they were fake so was turned off by the green ones and in the multicolored ones I was really really turned off because our house is a pretty nice looking house and our furniture is pretty nice looking so I did not want anything that looked cheap. I found these and what I love about them is the way that they look I was also concerned about having all these bulbs in my plants and what that would look like but they actually add some type of Elegance to my plants and if you put them in just right you can't see the bulb! The main thing about these is it really really works! I was very dumbfounded because I just knew that something wasn't going to be right with these and there is nothing wrong with these! And I absolutely love this look so if you're looking for something elegant something chic and something that doesn't look cheap but adds a little bit of decor to your plants these are the way to go! I will say a couple of things yes there is soil that gets in the bottom of this tube the long stem part you just have to rinse it out really well for reuse. Also it is very very important that you water your plant first saturated with water and then fill this bulb up and turn it over and stick it deep into your plant not too deep but deep enough. The true tip and trick with this is that your soil needs to be wet first if you do not water your plant first these bowls won't work because it's just going to be relying on all of the water that's in the bulb. I have ordered another set of these! These are a must-have if you are a person who forgets to water plants a lot and not just for going out of town I mean for everyday reasons. Also, check your plants and see which ones really need this bulb I have about 21 plants soon to be 30;-) and I only needed to use these bulbs for four of my plants so not all of your plants will need these bulbs just look and see which ones you have to water all the time and then buy it for those plants!

Once you finally get this filled, it’s difficult to position in into the soil such that water actually comes out rather than the soil clogging the stem. And if you have perlite or other small rock-like material in your soil, they can block the bulb hole so water can’t get to the stem. Really annoying to deal with but they are effective when you can troubleshoot around those problems. But the problems make it not a quick process every time.

These worked great for continuous watering- especially if out of town for a while. The also look very aesthetic adding to your plants.

I love these so much! I was starting to develop a complex about the amount of plants I was killing prior to buying a bunch of these. Now whenever my friends come over to my apt, they always say I'm taking such great care of my plants. Thank you to whoever created these - you are saving so many plants. This works really well for bigger plants or those that always need to be kept moist. Very easy to use and not much setup needed. The water actually comes out slowly in drops, and it is aesthetically pleasing. I dont use this on all my plants, because of the size of the globe and their watering needs. It is glass, so I worry it may topple over or break in smaller pots.
