Used refurbished monitor
I was a little skeptical about buying any kind of electronic devices that have been refurbished. I needed a monitor that had a DVI input for my radio so I had to look for older tech. This was priced reasonably and sized right so I took a chance. It arrived packed in original packaging within a larger outer box. Looks like new. Connected everything and powered it up. Works perfectly. Super happy!

Not a big monitor, but good enough for general applications.
I personally would not recommend anything this small for modern AAA gaming. I need something bigger for that. But it works great for normal every day programs, word processing, and it works well enough for my DAW system. Even if I upgrade this monitor later, this will still serve as a handy backup (just in case). It's a bit pricey for the size though (definitely paying for the name). There are less expensive offerings now with larger screens. But it does a good job.

Good monitor. Especially for the price.
Solid monitor. Does the job well, good picture quality, and affordable. Only critique is that the wire the connects to this monitor is not snug. So when I move it, raise my desk, hit the cord with my feet, etc. it can disconnect, and I need to unplug and plug it. For the great price of this monitor its still a solid one. Just note that if used on a standing desk or where you may move the wire regularly, it may disconnect.

Easiest monitor I ever set up
I had to buy this no frills monitor in a pinch as the old one died Saturday. I guess I can’t complain since it ran 24/7 for seven years without a hitch. But I was frantic and did not want to spend a fortune. I literally had this monitor set up in less than five minutes if that long. Of course there’s not a lot to worry about, one hdmi port and a vga one. But it’s all I needed. Literally lug and play — I attached the hdmi cord to the monitor and the picture came right up. Looks pretty good for the money. If you need a basic monitor to view what’s on your hard drive or cameras snd can’t spend a fortune this HP is a deal for less that $100 . It came with the hdmi cord and power cable. I had my own, though and it arrived in two days on prime. I hope this helps.

Needed Dual Monitors 4 Work
Got a new job doing financial reporting and working solely off the laptop was beginning to limit my productivity so I got 2 of these badboys. Hooked them up with my HDMI cable and they lit up and wow! they are bright and look good.Perfect for work. If you're gaming they are definitely bright enough. So the price point was a good value for me.

Great PC monitor
I bought this monitor to replace a 10 year old LCD Viewsonic that was starting to act up. I like HP products and this is no exception. It has a great picture and is very slim and light which I like. It not the best monitor for gaming but is adequate in that respect so I gave it 4 stars for gaming. Very reasonably priced though. Haven't had it very long but my other HP products always work great and last a long time. I highly recommend this monitor for normal PC uses. If you are looking for a strictly gaming monitor then this one might not serve that purpose!

Fine for general office use, maybe not for movies or gaming
I'm writing in regard to the HP 20kd, 19.5" size. I've only used it one day, but I have a pretty good impression of it. It's plenty bright; in fact I had to turn the contrast and brightness settings down so it would more closely match my old monitor which I'm using side-by-side. It's also sharp and clear with text.On the "standard" color setting, colors seem a bit undersaturated; in particular yellows seem quite weak. In addition, yellows have a slight greenish hue. I had to adjust the custom RGB settings to get to something that looked reasonably balanced. (Granted, my eye is not calibrated so I have no objective way to measure the color accuracy.) I also have not installed the HP drivers, it's possible that the colors might improve if I use their ICM file. I also tried the "warm" and "cool" color settings but found them way TOO warm/cool respectively. The biggest issue I have is that there is quite a bit of light bleed in the lower right corner and along the right edge of the screen. It's really only noticeable if I have a black or very dark screen showing. I bought this for general office-type use and it should be fine for that, but I wouldn't really want to watch movies on this or use it for photo editing, etc.As to physical characteristics, it'd be more convenient if it had an HDMI input--does that really add much cost in 2020? My last complaint relates to the positioning of the inputs low on the back side. If you are using a stiff, heavy DVI cable with a ferrite core, it doesn't work too well because it has to make a tight radius bend to go up into the DVI port on the monitor. This puts stress on the cable and stress on the monitor port as well.

Amazing value!
You pretty much get what you would expect. Not the highest end monitor, but for the low 100's price it is an amazing deal. Only issue I've found is the power cord doesn't have a great connection to monitor. Just in regular use it is not a big problem, however when you move the display up or down a lot or move it around your desk it can disconnect. It doesn't fall out, you just need to jiggle it a little. Don't get for gaming or editing 4k videos. But if you need an affordable, good quality monitor, this is great. I use it as a second display for my MacBook, and I have no complaints.
