2GB RAM Memory Upgrade for The IBM Lenovo Thinkpad T60 and T60p Series Notebook Laptops (DDR2-667, PC2-5300, SODIMM)

2 go stick worked perfectly in my Thinkpad T60p which only had 2 gb of storage. Note that this particular model of thinkpad only supports a max of 3 gb due to motherboard chipset limitations. The memory upgrade plus an ssd update really sped up this old laptop.

I gave this memory chip 5 stars not because it's rad or knows all the right people or once dated one of the Kardashians, but because its price was very good, its packaging adequate, and its arrival on my doorstep prompt. It snapped right in a slot, the machine started, and all works perfectly. Also because I feel sorry for things like memory chips, AC adapters, and modems. They have to be at the top of their game for them to work at all but nobody ever thinks to give them 5 stars even though they work perfectly.So I did.

I read most of the reviews before buying. It fits my 2007 Lenovo T60p 15". Mine came with 2gigs of Ram already and I've finally maxed it out. I'm running Win XP SP3. I did have Win 7 Ultimate at one point and it still ran fine. The next thing for me to upgrade will be the HD to an SSD and then replace the fan since it's making noise.

I got the product shipped quickly but after I inserted into my IBM laptop I didn't see the system show the increase in RAM on system property.

What is there to say? It does what it is designed to do. My old levona now has 3GB ram and is running Linux and will be good for another 5 or 10 years! Goodbye Windows! What a difference it made. I recommend it. Just be careful when installing and know what you are doing. If you don't, maybe you should have a professional install it.

We had an older IBM Thinkpad that worked fine but was too slow - even my 4th grader wouldn't even use it. Instead of buying a new laptop, we bought this memory to upgrade. It was easy to install (you can find great videos on YouTube) and my child is happy to have a fast computer! I wish I had thought about upgrading a lot sooner.

Turned a school reject into a real head turner. The first two worked so well that I am planning on buying a third. The delivery was prompt and there have been no problems with over a month of daily use on each machine.

I received Kingston (randomly I guess) 2 x 2GB modules, which brand is known for high compatibility. After easy modules change (one has to remove keyboard to change the modules) memory passes tests and works flawlessly. Actually I do not see speed improvement with Win XP (upgrade from 2 x 1GB), it may depend from the kind of work you do.
