It tastes like....nothing at all. CHECK! It dissolves quickly and is undetectable from a consistency perspective. CHECK! It greatly enhances my runs, and my recovery. DOUBLE CHECK! I have been using this product, and the Blue Raz, for about 3 years now. It is my only GO TO gym workout or endurance sport (I run, bike, and swim) supplement that I use consistently (sometimes I mix in electrolyte or creatine, but only in spurts). EVO has been fantastic from the get go, and I notice significant boosts in my recovery performance. Most specifically, when I am trail running, and I push up a steep hill, I see a much faster recovery once I level off or start downhill then without this BCAA. The Blue Raz tastes great, but it is strong. So, I will use a half scoop of the unflavored and half of the Blue Raz and it is a perfect mix in 16-22oz of water. Great product, I swear by it!

(Review for Unflavored variant) What a relief to find a BCAA supplement that doesn't contain dyes and sweeteners; this is recovery for adults. I can tell this is good quality stuff too because of the way it doesn't totally mix into water and is kind of scummy on top. (If your BCAA supplement totally dissolves into water: you're getting ripped off; BCAAs are hydrophobic.) Yeah, this supplement tastes kind of bitter on its own, but you'll never know it's in your post-workout shake, juice, or whatever you decide you need to have for recovery. I'm very grateful that this supplement is one more thing I can add to the list of ingredients which are helping me getting away from the culture of everything being full of sugar and/or craving sweets. If you personally need to dress-up your supplements with candy colors and sweeteners: Evlution Nutrition also makes that stuff, but at least you'll know that the BCAAs are quality. I'll definitely purchase this product again.

I absolutely love this product! First of all, it has such a better value than buying the flavored kind. Personally, I mix it with individual sugar free drink packets from Walmart. I don’t find that it makes drinks taste bad. I have accidentally drank it without flavoring before and that was an unpleasant surprise. If you try to add this to water by itself, it is extremely bitter and unpleasant. This has been my favorite BCAA to date. Blends well in liquids and helps boost workouts and recovery

I have never left a review on Amazon before, this is my first. The taste was so bad that I felt it was only right to help out others before they buy this Unflavored BCAA. I went with Unflavored as I didn't want any other chemical additives other than the BCAAs, however the word "Unflavored" implies that it will not change the flavor of whatever liquid you mix it with. This is WRONG, it makes any liquid taste very sour like a battery acid taste. The taste is unbearable and stays in the back of your throat hours after you drink even the tiniest sip. Beware the sellers do not allow for returns/refunds so once you buy it, you will be stuck with it and have no option other than to throw it in the garbage. Will not be buying these Unflavored BCAAs in the future. Please do not make my same mistake.

I liked that this powder has no taste to it at all. This particular product mixes well with water but when added to something such as almond milk, it is unnoticeable. For me, I got the best results by drinking it either 30-60 minutes before a workout with a small scoop of flavored protein powder, or just mixed with some cold water and drinking it throughout the workout. I really noticed a difference not only during my workout with more endurance and the feeling that I could out work the person next to me, but my recovery afterwards was quicker. I was able to build muscle faster than when I didn't use it at all. I have been trying to bulk up a little with lean muscle and this helped. I can definitely notice my upper body gains since using this product. I am a big fan!

The product is the right thing for my brother the extra protein and vitamins, he puts it on his food and drinks. does not have any taste whatsoever.

I'm sure this is a good BCAA product based on the reviews but unless you have no taste buds do yourself a favor and order the flavored varieties instead. This also comes in grape and cherry flavor I believe. The unflavored is just bitter upon bitter. I cannot stomach it even when I add lots of chocolate syrup (which works great for unflavored creatine supplements by the way). Sure you can dilute it in a gallon of beverage but that is extreme for me. Not the manufacturer's fault but just the nature of the product I think.

My understanding is that the efficacy of BCAA supplements for non-professional athletes is still a subject of debate; however, at this point in my life I am in a position to try a few new things to see if I can get better results. So when it comes to recovery, endurance and strength, I do notice a slight difference but I am not sure of the exact source among all other things I take. HOWEVER, I can honestly say that when it comes to taste and consistency, this product is my favorite by far. I've tried several other unflavored BCAA supplements from other brands (they were cheaper), and the granules are larger, the taste was rather unpleasant, and I started getting acid reflux. The EVL Nutrition BCAA does not come with these side-effects: it has a neutral taste and the granules are much smaller. I am not a big fan of artificial ingredients so I go for the unflavored version: some people say it tastes like medicine, to me it does not taste like much. I mix it in about 500 ml of water, and it dissolves perfectly (with other brands, there was always residue on the bottom and the large granules sort of gritted on my teeth, it was like drinking chalk mix).

These BCAA's represent great value for money compared to other brands and were significantly cheaper than Evlutions flavoured BCAA's.. but now I can see why. Don't be fooled by the 'unflavoured' flavour thinking that you'll be getting something that tastes like nothing, the taste is awful and is undrinkable on its own. Even adding cordial and other flavours in I need to chug the entire glass in one go because it's unbearably bad.

I use 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder in orange juice, and it always tasted sweet. After adding a scoop of unflavored Evlution Nutrition BCAA5000 Powder there is a slight bitter aftertaste. It isn't so awful that I will stop using it. The price is great and the product quality seems high. It comes in a container that is nearly full, with about an inch of room to prevent the fine powder from compacting. It DOES come with its own scoop, which a lot of supplement powders do not. I would recommend it, but not in water alone if using the unflavored.

I have been using EVL’s BCAA 5000 for a few years now and have noticed some great results. My recovery time is shortened and I’m able to workout 5-6 times a week without being overly fatigued. It has also helped with my endurance by maximizing my reps for heavy lifts. All and all, the improvements in both recovery time and endurance allow me to train harder and workout more frequently without many days off. This combination has given me better strength and has raised my one rep max in many areas. Last but not least, flavor! I have tried a few different flavors and was always a fan of the taste. Easy to mix and easy to drink! I now buy the unflavored kind because it gives me more value for my money. It’s good with juice or with water (I add a few squirts of Mio to give it some flavor).

I've taken some unflavoured powders before but this beats them all. You can taste it through any other flavoured shake. Just because of taste I will never but this version again. Although once you're past taste it is a well made product with good energy
