Beginning Swahili Workbook and Guide: Homework Exercises, Quizzes, Final Exam and Noun Classes Paperback – October 11, 2012

I bought this for my non Swahili speaking husband to get a grasp on the the language. This is not the book for that purpose. And if it's a workbook, it should be presented together with the text. I'm a native speaker myself and found glaring grammatical errors throughout . Author should do more editing .

This is a great guide for beginning Swahili. The exercises are practical, and the final 1/3 of the book offers a good foundational guide to vocabulary and grammar. Professor Kyeu is a strong instructor, and especially when paired with his in-person teaching, this book is an extremely useful tool.

Not what I expected. Not helpful in learning beginning Swahili.
