The best Red Dot on the market....PERIOD!!!
BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): This is the best Red Dot on the market....PERIOD!!!I bought this a few months ago and have put 1,000 rounds through my AR so far and this thing is dead on. I set the zero and it hasn't moved a bit. I love Leopold optics and have 100% confidence in their craftsmanship and durability so I forked over a little extra cash than I was hoping to spend with high expectations. My key reason for spending so much on a red dot was the lifetime warranty and ability to add their unique magnifier later on. I have this optic on a high-end AR and the quality and finish on this sight is perfect and compliments my rifle perfectly. I would feel confident putting my life on the line with this rifle in my hands. I've spend 4-1/2 years in combat overseas and I can assure you that next time I go this will be on the flight with me. The 1 MOA dot is crisp and allows for very precise shot placement with 1/2 MOA click adjustments. The massive 32mm aperture allows for a huge FOV during reflexive fire and really dominates all the other red dot sights I've tried. The overall shape and design is awesome. I love that it's a different design than every other red dot optic out there. I can't wait to get my hands on a magnifier and see this combo truly shine to its full capacity. If you are on the fence trying to decide if this optic is "just another red dot" I can promise you its not. Spend the money and get the best and you will never look back. Thank you Leuopold for another amazing product!

My favorite AR sight!!!
I put this on one of my AR’s and love it. Comes on automatically and off too. Very accurate and can be seen during bright light!

Zero-less
Finally had the time, weather and ammo to try and zero this in, but being refurbished, was not the route to go. Liked it for it's low-pro feel but if it doesn't zero, thanks for the $400÷ paper weight

READ this before you but it.
First off the Chinese counterfeit unit has red and green dots. It is not the real deal, if you have a green dot it’s a fake. The Chinese copy is very accurate as far as the materials and the cosmetics. The glass and the dot is substandard. Watch the you tube video that covers a side by side of the real deal and the Chinese fake. Call Leupold with your serial number to confirm if its a real or a counterfeit unit. Notify the person you bought it from if it’s a fake. Also give their name to Leupold so they have the opportunity to take action. The real Leupold is not worth the price when compared to an EOTech 512 or an Aimpoint Comp M2 or newer. The dot on the Leupold gets severely refracted into a large square halo at high brightness settings. The physical build quality is excellent but the dot is pixelated on all but the lowest three settings. The LCO is about the same size as the EOTech XPS series physically. It’s weight is surprising it does feel like quality. The elevation and windage work well with excellent tactile feel (clicks) on each MOA of adjustment. It holds zero great. My only complaint would be that the higher brightness settings are so pixelated and the halo it casts is significantly distracting. However, for the price I recommend you buy an EOTech or Aimpoint. The quality of the body and the adjustments, mounting everything is there and very high quality except the most important part, the size and sharpness of the red dot, which is sub-standard.You can buy an EOTech 512 used for around $350.00 or for less than 499.00 new on sale at Midway or Brownells. An Aimpoint M4 is less as well and the red dot on the EOTech and the Aimpoint are superior to the LCO. Even an EOTech XPS3 is less than the price of the LCO. The LCO is physically Leupold quality as expected, it’s very well made but the red dot, the principle reason for its existence is substandard when compared to the top tier holographic sights. I would say I do like it better than the Vortex and Dr. Optics red dots I own. Leupold just missed the mark on the red dot viewing quality and poor resolution of the dot.

Clear fast and durable red dot system!
Great optic from Leupold! The 1 MOA dot is clear and easily acquired during transitions. It offers a nice wide field of view that's not obstructed.

Emitter obstruction disrupts the red dot
In certain overhead lighting conditions, there is a larger reflection of the internal emitter on the reflective front glass. This reflection looks like a large golden square that consumes the 1 MOA dot. When this reflection is present on the glass, this optic looses the advantage of all the other design features.
