upgrade my old 2D-Cell Maglite.
I bought it to upgrade my old 2D-Cell Maglite.Of course this bulb for 3-6 cells. So I used a 3AA to 1 D Battery Converter and changed to a 9V (4.5Vx2) output. The run time will be shorter than using the D-cell, but I think that can be covered by using the low light mode, and I think that the lighting time issue can be covered by using the proper combination of flashlights in the second and third roles.I have no problems with the brightness, focus and light distribution that the LiteXpress LXB525 bulbs have.Modern flashlights are much brighter, but excessive brightness can be detrimental at the same time. Also, owners who want to upgrade their old maglite should be familiar with the attractions, advantages and disadvantages of maglites.I have found that the LXB525 bulb makes the Maglite evolve into a more attractive tool.

Bright white lite, but doesn't change modes
Wornderful bright light, pure white. However, it does not change mode by pushing the on off button as if you were sending morse code.

A must buy
Perfect product. 500 lumens is extremely useful. Not as bright as the high-powered lights out there (nor should it be). Maglites are still very rugged and last forever. It’s my preferred flashlight due to its simplicity. The dimmer mode is what I will mainly use in emergencies in the house. If a loud bump occurs outside, then the high beam will come in handy too.

Works great, and I would definitely buy this again if need be.
Nice and bright! I really like the 2 lumen modes of this bulb.Maglite should have this kind of bulb for all of their pushbutton flashlights!

Great upgrade!
This brought new life to my old mag light . Extremely bright, fits perfectly and easy to install. Batteries last much longer and the low mode is very useful inside

Bright and comes with an adapter
Comes with adapter for incandescent maglites and has 2 modes, like currently sold led maglites. It's probably the brightest 6D maglite replacement led bulb I've used so far.
