No, it does not flicker,we just alter the light intensity using the fade control on our salt lamp.

My salt lamp says it needs a 250v e14 bulb. tried other220-240v (25w) bulbs that blow straight away. will this work?

these work fine in a salt lamp, all UK power is 220/240v, your lamp isnt gettin 250v so thats not whats blowing the bulbs, perhaps your lamp has a fault
