Takes up some space but works great
Had this on my board for 4 years to switch between distortion channel and clean and it still works great. Unfortunately the room in takes up sitting horizontal, especially the added width caused by cables coming out the left and right side and the bypass button, I button I never use, has me looking into an alternative loopbox that can be hidden away. Something with an input for a smaller single button footswitch that can be attached and brought out into the open. This is a much better design but unfortunately I can tell you after a lot of shopping around the cost of an alternative solution like that comes at a cost, in the box I'm looking at the price is 5x as much. Doesn't really make sense why these such a simple device cost so much, and I can't wrap my head around why more companies aren't making these, but if space isn't a deal breaker or you can fit this on to your board, this is absolutely worth investing in.I've decided I have to invest in something much more expensive to save

Awesome EQ at an Incredible Price
Using it to EQ monitors for live performance. Needed to control low end on monitor send, for a clearer overall sound that isn't muddy. Works fantastic. Was a little hesitant because it is a guitar effect, but vocals, guitar and keyboards now stand out in the mix. The power supply is 2 A with heavy-duty cord for only couple dollars more. Would definitely buy more EX products.

Pretty impressive.
I'm a professional, in the sense that I pay my bills from music. Just saying I have a good bit of experience with this stuff.Honestly, it's a pretty nice little pedal. I use an eq pedal primarily as a solo boost. (I have a multi-unit on the board that handles the always-on eq.) I have been using the yellow Behringer. Noisy thing with hiss, but they are cheap and easily replaceable. I wanted to go ahead and just get a Boss and be done with it, but also wanted to try and see if I could get by with a small one.The first one I got, the light didn't work. (I took a video to put with the review, but honestly what's the point, lol.) So, returned that one. Looked at others, but this just seems like the best total package vs cost that I can find.Anyway, second one has worked really well. This thing is pretty quiet, and all the bands seem to work properly. It's honestly about as quiet as a GE-7 seems to be, and a *lot* quieter than the yellow dude. This could certainly be an always-on pedal for someone.I only have one other 'A-Brand/really cheap' pedal, a reverb that I only use as an effect occasionally. I notice that with both it and the Behringer, just lightly thumping the case produces an audible noise (prob cramped, bad solder, etc.) This one doesn't do that. So, they likely put at least an above bare minimum amount of quality into the manufacturing. Also, this one has mid notches on the main output, so you know where unity is (and it seems accurate), something the Behringer lacks.I still have concerns over quality-control, since my first one had a bad light out of the box. But also, stuff happens, so not going to knock them too much, just based on one experience.Anyway, as a pedal, a def buy. It sounds about as good as anything I've seen (not like there's a huge margin of variance with a simple eq.) If it lasts for three years (my only legit concern), I'd consider it a solid investment.

Deserves 10 stars!
Okay....here's this tiny little box with a skull on it for a good budget price and inside lies the most demonic, angry, leviathan of sound you've ever heard! I have pedals that cost over $200 and this thing has a sound far better than any of them. I'm about to sell my entire pedal collection and replace it with this. Holy chugg! Throw it into high boost with the mids at 12 and distortion full throttle....you're ready to join a death metal band.I'm gonna buy these for next Christmas for my guitar friends.Great pedal EX!

Great product for tone shaping
My guitar setup had some harsh mid-range that tone controls couldn't touch. I put the EX7 at the front of the effects chain and it solved the problem. This is a quality product. The pedal is solid due to the cast aluminum case. The sliders have a great feel, with a good detent in the middle. The level control is 0 db at the middle setting, which is handy if you don't want to boost or cut volume. The foot switch is responsive without pops or noise. It's a perfect size for an already crowded pedal board. It's a great tool at a great price!

A great deal
This little thing let me squeeze a 7 band eq into the tiny space left in my board and honestly I with I had grabbed one of these a long time ago. I might add a second. I've discovered it lets me crank up my gain pedals and then pad the volume back down so I'm not also overdriving the amp, and it lets me tame some of the mud that comes from my Big Muff Pi. I'm thinking about trying another earlier on my board so I can use it when I switch guitars.

Dope pedal , especially for the price
Dude , this thing chugs hard !. Not bad for the price at all , takes a bit of tinkering to get a good distortion and not loose tone , but I got it right where I want it and I’m really happy !

Great for pedal boards!
Great price, works as advertised. Great for pedal boards. The high frequency does emit a static noise when turned up but I was able to get around this by running it in my chain before my compressor pedal. This allowed me to compress and remove the hum while still getting the frequency cranked on the high end. Would have been 5 stars if no noise at all but I mean for the price you can't beat it. All other frequencies only enhance or takeaway as they should. Recommend more for boards so you can run it through noise reducers/compressor pedals ECT after. Will still function solo and you can keep highest frequency stationed in the middle or a little above to avoid slight static noise. And you can still turn it all the way down if that's the sound you desire. This is all based off my setup and amps though. Definitely recommend giving it a try. Solid metal and comes with Velcro stickers to station to your board.
