Hidrate Spark PRO Smart Water Bottle 21oz Brushed Steel | Tracks Water Intake, Bluetooth, LED Glow Reminder, When You Need to Drink, Chug Lid

The HidrateSpark STEEL (now called the PRO) has really helped me drink enough water. You'd think you would just drink water when you're thirsty, right? But I have found I just don't feel my best if I don't drink enough water throughout the day, even though I'm rarely thirsty. And you'd think that you could just track your fluid intake with an app, but that's just another thing you have to think about. The bottle (along with its app) solves my hydration problems in a few ways (along with just things I like about the bottle): 1. It just knows when I take a drink and updates the total in the app. I don't have to think about how much I drank. 2. The app tells you how much you should be drinking, based on your weight etc, and adjusts automatically based on the weather and your activity level. I don't have to think about if I should be drinking more water because it's hotter out or because I was more active than usual. You can of course manually adjust the goal. 3. I can check the app (or on my watch) to see if I'm behind and need to drink a bit more to stay on track for the day. You set your waking hours and it will glow or send you a notification only during that time (and I always take a few sips or check and try to catch up when it does), but more important is that the app tells you where you should be at that time along with where you are. This helps me to stay on track to drink enough water long enough before I go to bed that I don't have to get up in the middle of the night because I tried to meet my goal right before going to sleep. The app also tells you how many days in a row you've met your goal, and the higher that number gets, the more I'm motivated to make sure I meet my goal every day. 4. It's a great size and is easy to carry. I have the 21oz and my wife has the 17oz. They are not too big and they fit in a car cup holder. The bottle also feels solid and well constructed, and the lid has a little lock slider so it doesn't open accidentally. I added a little carabiner to the carry strap so I can clip it onto my belt or onto a bag so it's even easier. You can also mix and match the components, i.e. the sensor puck, the base body, and the lid are all interchangeable, so if you have the chug lid but decide later you want the straw lid you can just buy the new lid and swap it out. The same for the body if you want a different size or color. Much cheaper than buying a whole new bottle assembly. 5. The base is rechargeable. You do have to take it out and use the magnetic USB charging cable that comes with the bottle (it's not a micro USB on the side of the bottle), but it is so much more convenient than replacing button cell batteries. 6. It's easy to refill, just like any bottle. The lid comes off and you fill it up like a large cup! I started my smart water bottle journey with a HidrateSpark 2 off of eBay, and I fell in love with the concept (and their app). Enough that when I heard they came out with the rechargeable bottles (instead of button cells) I was more than willing to spend $70 on a water bottle. I mean, that does sound like a lot, but for me, it is well worth it for wellbeing and convenience. I advocate that anyone who has trouble staying hydrated get one of these bottles, or at the very least try to track your drinking using their app because it is just so easy to use. I take my bottle wherever I go. I have it nearby when I'm in the house, and I always take it with me when I go out. Even when I broke my phone so it wasn't tracking, I still took the bottle because it is just a very nice bottle and very nice to drink from! If my bottle were to get lost or destroyed, I wouldn't think twice about buying another one or even looking for alternatives; the HidrateSpark PRO is just that great.

It may seem a little gimmicky at first sight but that illuminating light keeps you on track with your hydration goals. I am horrible at drinking enough water but since I got this....I am almost always carrying this with me and meeting my daily goals. It is truly a smart bottle that will remind you when to drink on your phone app and through its visual lights. Battery life is excellent however, the bottle tracking feature doesnt work as advertised. It keeps the water cool for a long time with ice in it. The lighting is cool...it's like giving a treat to your puppy for rolling over and playing nice. Love it! Not to mention it's a conversation starter. EVERYONE ask about this! And then they end up buying one as well and loving it! A bit costly but worth every penny for me. I truly love this and this is the best I had used so far! I end up getting a different cap with a straw just incase I want to switch it out! Must buy!

The main reason I can’t recommend this bottle is the lid broke within less than a year (I have the chug style lid). The initial issue was that the spring that pops the lid open broke and when I reached out to Hidrate’s customer service they said it was outside of warranty. They recommended buying a replacement lid, but that made no sense as the current unit had only lasted a few months. I was using this bottle at my desk job so my usage scenario wasn’t anything crazy. I continued to use the unit since it still logged my water just fine. A few months later the decorative button on the lid strap came off. Then a few months after that the lid’s release button (that use to release the spring and let the lid pop open) completely failed. The only way to drink out of the bottle now is to unscrew the chug lid. So yeah, the lid hardware was bad. Charging the bottle was also kind of a hassle. You have to unscrew the base every 3 to 4 days. It’d be nice if they included some wireless charging so you could simply set the bottle on a pad at your desk. Then the only maintenance the bottle would have would be cleaning and filling it.

Hourly light up reminders, in my team colors, reminding me to stay hydrated.

I have been using my Hydrate spark for 2 years now and that was a great investment. If you're crap at drinking water and/or want to stop eating plastic, this is the one for you. Loved the app with social contest that motivated me to drink daily and loved the rewards for all your streaks. It's fun and helped me tracking my water intake and even managed to do so 210 days in a row. Bottle can have visual reminders or phone notifications to remind you to sleep, which are cheeky and original. The quality is so good that I never had to change any component. Cons: especially if you're in the UK when everything's seems to get mouldy easily, just watch out for the silicon getting mouldy and try to wash it every month to avoid black mould and getting ill.

Maybe I'm just commenting on the concept at a whole, but this really is a revolutionary device. I have always had problems with water, and for the first time in my lifetime I am drinking water adequately. Hidrate Spark has really made my life easy and I don't have to think about how much I am drinking. The quality of the device is outstanding. I got the metalic silver rechargeable version which I was worried would not in fact keep drinks cool, but it does and very well. There is one thing I am not sure about and that is the integration with apple health app, I understood that it should take my steps and based on that raise or lower the intake I should aim for, but I do not seem to see that working. Otherwise its an amazing device, my wife has the older version number 3 which needs batteries, the batteries are hard to find but you can get them on amazon. I prefer this chargeable version as it charges very quickly and lasts at least 5 days. if you are thinking about buying this device to maintain your health, do it. do it. do it.

Love this stainless bottle as it has no taste. Battery only lasts between 1-2 weeks but it’s rechargeable so you just have to time when you charge it like overnight. Great app and funny reminders.

I love it. I was hoping for a smaller one like 300 ml for a trip. Probably it is not a popular format Love it
