My favorite shop chair lost its lift. It was still great for desk work, but no longer lifted to shop bench height. This cylinder was the perfect size and online videos help me figure out how to remove the old and replace with this new one. Works great! No fancy tools were needed. A large wrench and brute force...go look up a video.

I bought a new chair that was high but not high enough . This made my new chair perfect. I have a standing desk amd this makes it perfect height and it hold my Fat self good too

Works just fine. A small problem with the tube lowering about 2 inches when you sit on the seat. It returns to the original height once weight is removed. The original that this tube replace did not have this issue (all the away up till the until it stopped working 10 years later).

An older task chair was slowly sinking over the course of each day necessitating constant adjustments. This replacement was perfect and made the chair usable again. It took some muscle to remove the old one (YouTube videos were helpful) but once removed the install was easy.

Unfortunately I am a big and tall person (6ft 4in weighing in at 290) and this piston failed just after the return window.When it worked it was a really great: it w as a strong piston that I used every day since i ordered it with very little to no sagging. Now, literally after 30 days (just missed the cut off to return by 2 days), it has failed. the chair will pop up but the gas cylinder will no longer hold me up. Now it still sits taller than the piston I got with my drafting chair but I wanted to have a chair that was closer to my standing height as I want to ease pressure off my old knees while working seated at my standing desk.If you are tall and sub 250 (and to be fair, that's a lot of people) you should be OK. But for me this just didn't work out.
