Taste of the sea.
Lovely flavor, slightly briny, no metallic aftertaste. Chunky pieces perfect for use as a finishing salt.

Love it!
I love this sea salt and have been buying it for years! I first purchased this because my son loves sea salt. It's the only sea salt I know of that contains iodine. And with thyroid issues running in my family, we especially need salt with this necessary nutrient. Just put it in our salt/pepper grinder and away we go.

Simple High Quality Salt. Period.
My wife and I were on the lookout for iodized salt specially for use with our salt mill. In our daily use, we are careful to not use too much salt (and also watch out for too little salt as well). After quite a bit of searching on Amazon we found Seasonello with exactly two ingredients - sea salt and iodine. Perfect. We ordered one bottle and crossed our fingers. A month later today, we couldn't have been happier. It's interesting how a basic thing such as salt has gotten so complicated. Search results for iodized salt on Amazon gives you thousands of vendors - from the more popular Morton salt company to other everyday vendors. However, take a careful look at what the ingredients are. There will be a combination of anti-caking agents, some sugar (dextrose) and others. Now we are not suggesting that these are necessarily harmful although there is evidence that anti-caking agents prevent the breakdown of certain nutrients (such as vitamin c). After all anti-caking agents prevent food from lumping together - the result is a fine free flowing salt granules. But in general processed food systems have gotten so complicated that finding a simple jar of salt seems to involve careful research. The quality of Seaonello salt from Italy is just perfect. The form factor is bigger granules which fit our requirement that it should go into a mill. Also for bigger scale cooking we could simply open the mill and use in greater quantity. It also comes in simple salt + iodine and no other additives or questionable ingredients. After a month of use, we are returning to order more. We couldn't recommend this highly enough. Get yours!

Tasty, with added iodine
Package arrived in good shape. Tasted great, works well in my grinders, and best of all provides the iodine not found in any other grindable sea salt on the market.

Subtle, nice product, but pricey
Tough to find a quality, iodized sea salt that doesn’t contain extra ingredients like anti-caking, etc. This salt is very nice, we use it in a salt grinder. The taste seems more subtle than most salts adding flavor without saltiness. It’s a bit too pricey compared to other sea salts.

Good tasting salt and stays iodized after opening.
I initially didn't think there was much for me to say about this product. It's salt, after all. However there's a few nice details about it. The flavor is very good and there is no grittiness to it. The coarseness is just right. I don't even use a grinder, it's perfect for me the way it is. I just dump a little in a shaker with wide holes and use it that way. It's a little coarser than kosher salt, which makes it good for applying to wet food where you don't want the salt to immediately dissolve, like hard boiled eggs. The packaging said it uses modern techniques that let it stay iodized after opening. This piqued my curiosity and I spent a few hours learning about iodized salt. I'm not an expert so some of this may be inaccurate or incomplete.Normally, sea salt and kosher salt aren't iodized, which is why I bought this product in the first place. You only need a little bit: iodine makes up less than 0.01% of a package of iodized salt. The problem with coarse, iodized salt and the reason you don't commonly see it is because the salt is enriched with iodine by spraying an iodine compound on the outside of the crystals during processing. This coating gradually decomposes and evaporates away over time when exposed to humidity. Course crystals are exposed to more air than fine ones, so this process happens faster in sea salt. Apparently some scientists in Spain figured out a way to keep that from happening, which is what allowed them to make this product. I'd still recommend storing it sealed and in a dry place, but it's nice to know it'll continue to provide me my recommended amount of iodine for however many years it takes me to finish the jar.
