My old Samsung remote wore out. I couldn’t seem to find a new one locally. I tried to get one from Germany, but that didn’t go through. Then I found one that was compatible in the United Kingdom. That one was sent to me, but it cost $60 approximately. Meanwhile, my grandson found one locally for a little under $12. I ordered that one. The inexpensive one did not work as well as the one from the United Kingdom. However, now I was on Amazon UK, so anything I ordered for the United States was a problem. I had to contact Amazon to get my American Amazon back. I do have to say that the remote from the UK is better and works more easily.

I have no clue how there are any ratings higher than one star. This remote goes so far beyond “not working well” that it’s comical. The force with which you have to press the buttons is only matched by your frustration. On top of that, you have to line up the remote with the tv sensor with the precision of an Olympic archer. Whenever you are able to get the button to do something, it might decide to select once, twice, or infinitely. There is no rhyme or reason. The physical design is just as humorously ineffectual. The battery well was designed with the exact dimensions to make you think you might be losing your mind. Despite taking AA batteries, the well is only nearly their size- meaning the back cover threatens to slip off at any moment. Overall, this is a hilariously impotent product. Its one redeeming quality is that it has given our household a new inside joke. If you think you’re going to save a little money and it won’t make a difference, just know that you will have to buy another remote within a week to avoid a total nervous breakdown.

Good replacement for my original remote that had the solar recharge panel in the back. Accidentally spilled hot chocolate all over the controller one night and immediately putting it in rice for days did zilch. Downloading an app like Smart Things irked me as to why they need so much access to my personal info. 👎 Search results offered a bunch of uncertain knockoffs asking an insane $80-$130 for an identical remote that’s made in China. But that working wasn’t even a sure thing? Nope, didn’t appeal to my sensibility. Then comes this baby. Legit reviews convinced me enough to try it. Tada! It was like magic, it worked straight out of the box right after inserting new batts and without pairing. All the buttons like Netflix and Prime Video work nice. Escape road to TV heaven reopened. 🥳 The controller is a bit thicker due to needing batteries. I’m fine with it not being solar/usb rechargeable. (Someone mentioned being unable to open the back to insert batteries— it’s a one piece unibody design so the entire backside has to come off. Maybe they were looking for a small little panel to remove?) 🤷‍♀️ Happy. —UPDATE— Docking a star because the circular directional pad started feeling super sticky within a week. Must push down rather hard to get things moving. Sometimes the reaction is delayed a bit so I end up scrolling too far. :( Also the tactile feeling of pressing up, down, left or right isn’t there anymore. Not sure what happened to make it feel this way suddenly, like I spilled hot choco on it again. Anyway, all other buttons are fine. Btw, this is a must-point-directly-toward-TV remote, unlike the original… in case this is important for your decision-making.

It looks almost the same as the one we had before except it doesn’t have the Samsung logo at the bottom and the volume and channel buttons are black not silver. I literally pointed it at the tv and it started working. It did need to be synched after a couple channels but the screen displayed that you need to hold the back button and the play button simultaneously and it was done. The only issue I have is the back panel comes off easy like the old one. I am getting a sleeve for it so that it will be easier to find so that won’t be a problem. It’s perfect. I’m buying another to stash just in case my kids break this one. Thank you.

Remote worked well for about 6 months. After that the buttons stopped working as well and require several presses to register.

My wife hated the remote that came with our tv! It was one of those universal remotes that can be programmed to control several devices which we don't have. I was looking for a remote that was simple to use and this one has been great! right out of the box, placed two AA batteries in it and it connect seamlessly! The only thing I don't like is the volume button uses a lever action for up and down and press for mute. it just feels a little awkward, but ease of use has outweighed that one small detail.

Leggendo recensioni di altri , confermo che i tasti sono più duri da azionare, il che pero a parer mio è un plus che ti da la conferma dell’avvenuto di impostazione . aggiornamento : dopo pochi mesi il funzionamento è peggiorato ed ora tutti i tasti lato dx vanno premuti almeno 3/4 volte prima che il comando arrivi alla tv

Lo pedí porque el original se agotaba la batería en unas horas después de 7meses y era un engorro que después de todo el día fuera de casa y dejar el mando boca abajo cerca de la ventana dándole la luz del sol no se había cargado nada,si no todo lo contrario. Es cierto que la tapa de las pilas me costó un poco abrirla pero cuando le puse las pilas fue apretar el botón y ha funcionar. Los accesos directos no son iguales pero no es una función importante al igual que el comando por voz ( ya que hay que presionar un botón y después hablar al mando )lo mismo es más rápido apretar el propio botón de la acción. En general la compra y el producto perfectos para mi uso, lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda. Y si te sale defectuoso el producto ponte en contacto con el vendedor y te lo solucionarán sin ningún problema

This remote has ony some of the features of the original remote it does not have voice control, it does not work all of the functions of the priginal remote. I would rate it as OK but not really suitable for a Australian Samsung TV. I would not buy from this vendor again.
