Super easy assembly, didn't even look at instructions. Solid enough for my birds, decent size, looks good too. My birds were very happy and went in straight away. Have cleaned the roofs off with a hose after they pooped and seems ok at keeping water out too so really pleased. Would of liked the base inside to not have small gaps in it (3mm approx gap between slats) as pieces of bedding would fall through, but just put some newspaper down first to avoid this. Great 👍

I love this - it’s just right for my elderly cat, as a step to my window, she can’t make the jump these days. She can bask on the top or sleep inside. I’m in pain after an operation but managed to construct it quite easily. It’s a good size and the quality is good too. The lid lifts for easy cleaning. I think it was a really good price too.

Like many other reviewers, I bought this hutch for a local stray as we've been hit with some bad weather over the winter.Delivery was great. Once out of the box, there's a distinct scent which I imagine is a chemical coating for waterproofing. It is quite strong but does seem to dissipate the longer it's exposed to the air.The colour is as expected, and matches the product images pretty spot on. My only gripe being a woman who lives quite a sedentary lifestyle due to my job (a little weakling as a result) is that the build was slightly challenging on my own. This is made with softer wood which makes screwing the screws in relatively easy, however there are no pre-drilled holes, so I either recommend making pilot holes or drilling yourself, particularly if you don't have great dexterity in your hands. Would be helpful if in the first couple of steps you can get someone to hold the pieces together as you screw. All in all, I did manage it on my own and it looks quite nice in the garden.I've yet to see it be used but have my fingers crossed. Overall it's exactly as I expected, no more no less.Edit:It's now been over a year, so I thought I'd add a little more information to this review to help others if they decide to buy this product.Sadly, none of the strays in my area have taken to this, which is really disappointing, but not a knock on the product!I bought a separate cover to protect it from the weather, but if it's particularly windy or rainy, this little hutch has no chance. Putting the little door up defeats the purpose of a cat or other small animal being able to seek shelter. In the time that I've had it through all the weather it's been subjected to, the inside – and outside – is filthy with green moss. Sadly I don't have an outdoor tap to give it a rinse down with some water, so it's a bit of a nightmare on the cleaning front, especially if it's not getting any use like mine isn't.I 100% recommend putting this under something like an awning/gazebo, otherwise, it will get filthy and will be another job for you to clean.It's still a really nice idea, but I'm not sure I would buy one again and would probably be more likely to buy a shed and DIY a cat flap to it, simply for the cleanliness aspect.A shame as I really wanted this to work, hopefully it works better for others.

This product was a steal for £35.We bought it for our outdoor cat and she absolutely loves it. The hutch keeps her dry from the rain, it’s nice and cosy and very spacious for her as she’s quite a small cat.When I was assembling the product, my indoor (quite large cat) climbed in to investigate and he also fit inside quite nicely.The product had straightforward instructions that were easy to follow and I assembled it on my own quite quickly. However, no tools are provided with the product so make sure you have a screwdriver handy :)

I bought this for a stray cat I look after to give him some protection from the cold, he's a big cat but he fits in it just nice after a fair amount of coaxing to get him to use it in the first place. I took the little door off because I wasn't going to shut it and he found it off putting to try and walk on when it was down. It was well made and loses stars only because it was fiddly to put together, it is definitely a two person job. The worst part was attaching the hinge on the roof a lot of messing to get it lined up properly but once assembled looked great. Had to put a small brick to hold the roof down when we had high winds, a latch would have been great on it. It's really easy to clean and seems to been totally weatherproof too. It's a great buy and well worth the money, also very quick delivery too.

Item arrived as described. Very easy to assemble. Using for outdoor cat house and a great size for a cat to sleep in. 10/10.

Ok, so I got this purely because another tort owner did and I was after something similar. First thing I did was remove the legs and the front door, the screws it comes aren't long/strong enough to securely hold it in place as they go through the wood like paper, luckily I had some nails to hand and after applying wood glue and tapped a few in, 4 per side to cover all parts and to risk any movement it held very well. The base does sit loose, so I advise also applying wood glue or no nails with a sealant gun to grab and spread better. All in all once together and it was aired out for 2 days (literally stinks of fresh paint/chemicals) it was pretty solid and decent, also give the roof and all the wood a good scrub with a dustpan brush etc as there was loose roof felt bits and fibre glass all over the panels out the box

A lovely product and nice for a rabbit to take shelter in but there must have been a split in the wood (that I couldn't see) as have been lifting bunny in and out of this since I purchased it, I lifted the lid yesterday morning and a whole strip of wood came off the top of the inside where the hinge is fixed (instead of the hinge opening as it normally did). Therefore it's now split and a struggle to open and close as comes apart (see pics). Any help with a replacement (or just sending me another one of this side) would be really appreciated as very disappointed after such a short time of use... Would have contacted sellar directly but unable now normal returns window closed...
