Spy Gear Ultimate Night Vision

This one really does have night vision. We'd almost purchased a different model until we noticed that it came with a built in flash light to see in the dark..ha! This one really does see in the dark...very cool. The only complaint we have with it is that it doesn't seem to turn itself off. My kids will play with it and then set it down and I'll find it hours later still on. Otherwise, great toy.

Bought this toy for a birthday gift.. We installed the batteries and checked it out..yes, it works as described...resolution is not as clear but you can actually see in the dark up to about 50 feet away. I don't know what the real night vision is like, but this one is more like a night vision camera.

the low beam of this is so powerful with the IR LED red lights sightly shown and with the high beam u can literally see the red lights emitting out and is really bright that even my camera could only capture a really bright lights...the downside of this nvg was that it didn't have a color change of the view instead it has a day view which I find it really useless because is just showing you what you can see with your naked eyes.Still to compensate that view,what you get is a really powerful lights emitting from it even with the low beam,maybe due to it was still new with fresh batteries but even with the low beam I could see really clearly in my dark room.....It looks durable with the hard plastic but still you will have to be careful with it and well is a pretty cool piece of toy... The pros -powerful lights even with a low beam -durable for a toy well seem to be able to take some beating -looks like the eye of transformer shockwave,I love this design of the nvg -durable straps for wearing over the neck. The cons -Is not entirely stealth proof since even with the low beam it emits a faint red lights well I do not think you could notice it though..is really faint -Is quite heavy for a kid to strap it around his neck -compare to other nvg toy it does not include other color views but a day view which I find it ridiculous Overall I love this piece of toy and I would recommend this toy to others and is fantastic that there is a powerful IR lights in it.I love the way it was design and is a pretty cool toy for kids and for a big boy like me hahaha.

What a complete disappointment. "santa" realy bombed out on this one, only one half works, After such disappointment for my 7 year old I would recommend not buying this at all.

Don't bother

This was so much fun that I ordered three more, one for each of my grqandkids, and my housekeeper wanted one for her kid as well. Wish the case was metal, but then it would cost more. These are not binoculars, but they can be used in the daytime mode. ONE CAUTION FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS do not allow use while riding a bike or scooter, as side vision is non-existant. Don't know how long the four AA batteries will last, as we adults only tried them out. Lots of fun, and can be used if you suspect prowlers or other illegal going-ons, without turning on the lights.

Not really what I expected but nephew enjoyed it

I looked at all the night vision units available for my grandson (7) and this one was the cheapest that had any good reports. I am often cautious when reading other peoples reviews but this time they were spot on. I tried it myself and in a pitch black room all details could be seen clearly without the infra red beam. It certainly lived up to expectations, (always a bonus). My granson is highly delighted. It is extremely bulky but has a good quality robust feel to it. For fun use I would definitely recommend this to any one.

I know these are classed as a children's toy but these goggles actually work properly in pitch black. I've been looking for a while for actual nightvision goggles and not those silly so called nightvisions that are in reality glasses with a torch stuck on the side. These work fantastically well and would highly recommend. A warning to parents who want to get these for your kids, you might not want to hand them over and you may end up playing with them more than your kids. :P

This is an amazing gadget, and it works as described. It is impressive how well you can see in a pretty dark environment. However, when you look through the goggles the image seems zoomed in. This is a bit irritating, and you might have problems with nearby objects (e.g. if you are walking). Another downside is that the documentation was in French, German and Dutch, even though I bought it in the UK Amazon. I have no problems with that, but this should be clear in the description. My last complain is that it did not come with the neck trap, as shown in the images. That's the reason for my 3 stars. I will try to contact the company to see if they can send it to me. Apart from these issues, this is a nice toy!

Fonctionne vraiment. Mais après l'excitation des premiers jours, les jumelles sont restées dans l'armoire. Mes enfants ne les utilisent que très rarement. Donc bien trop cher si on tient compte de l'utilisation qui en est faite.

my son had wanted these for a long time and i expected them to be a disapointment but they really work.my son would like some straps to fit them on his head but i can see why there isnt one as they are quite heavy.
