Great product! simple to operate, lightweight and hurts like hell!Background: Military, Self defense and firearms instructor.Pros: Maybe I am a bit crazy but I always "test" these items to be sure they are going to work. Let me tell you it does and it does hard! Keep in mind this will only be effective in the right hands and in certain situations. It is not an end all be all, its a use it and GTFO tool!Cons: The only criticism I have is that the switch to turn on the light has to be turned on first before you can use the taser itself. They cannot be used together unfortunately/understandably. Using them together would drain/lower the power output of the taser. The flashlight will flick on for a moment as you bypass it to turn on the stun function. In a confrontation this could be detrimental in alerting an assailant, Not good please fix that!Minor gripe: The carrying case is absolute garbage, It fell apart withing literal minutes of having it on my belt. I suggest ordering something with Cordura type construction for rigidity, with a closed end. I say closed end because the ends of the taser will snag!Side note: It is NOT weather resistant for those wondering.Overall yes I recommend it, it does do its job well!

I wanted a non-lethal self defense weapon to carry and this is top notch. I conducted much research before settling on this particular product. A 1.6uc charge ensures any potential attacker will be stopped in just a few short seconds after making contact. The metal on the sides is a great feature as it makes it virtually impossible for the stun gun to be snatched from your hands. I tested this stun gun on a friend with his full consent. He has been shocked before and said this stun gun was 3-4 times worse than any he has ever experienced before. After making contact on his arm covered by a wool jacket for just a brief second he agreed this would stop any would be attacker. His arm almost instaneouly locked up after making contact with the prongs. He said if I would have held it for just another second or two he would have collapsed on his knees. He has a high pain tolerance but rated the pain as 8/10. Keep in mind this was just a quick shock on his arm and not a suitable target area such as the neck, chest, stomach, or face that would maximize efficiency in a real self defense situation. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a non lethal self defense weapon that won't only deter a would be attacker but would quicky and effectively incapacitate them in a worst case scenario.

Ladies, listen up — If you’re looking for a small hand held stun gun for self defense measures, please consider this item. It’s rechargeable and held a charge upon arrival. I made the painful mistake of turning it on after receiving it to test the flashlight — not realizing I had mistakenly turned on the stun function — and accidentally touched the plates around the top of the device. TALK ABOUT PAINFUL!!! I screamed out loud, dropped the device instinctively, said a few unladylike curse words and thanked the stun gun gods for creating such a small, but mighty device. My hand hurt for approximately 3 1/2 mins after the initial shock. For reference I’m 5’2” and 118lbs. This is a great investment, and one that I feel comfortable in using to take down a would be attacker. Thanks, Calfvic, for making an affordable safety device that packs one hellavua punch!

This looks to be an exceptional product. From the explanation of Micro columns of stun force. Explain that voltage claims from other devices are exaggerated by extraordinary voltages. 30,000 is the max voltage to make an arch anything higher backfires on the user. HONESTY always sways my buying decisions, The only product line that lists the Micro column rating. 1.6 looks to be enough to put someone down. As with any device like this, I hope to never be put in a situation to use it but is comforting to know it is there. The world is a lot different now than when I was growing up, with more people that look to cause problems. After I charged it the discharge surprised me quite a bit, with a Very intimidating sound and ARCH display. Looks to be SOLID and the grip is nice. Wall charger a pulse since I have Great Grandchildren I want to keep it out of sight so they won't be curious about it. Out of sight out of mind. I will use it for a while then write another review on my thoughts about six months from now.

I have always kept one on my night stand. My old one finally stopped accepting a charge after 9-10 years.I'm betting this one will do the same.Bright light and a really bright ARC.Richard
