Great product, install video could be Better
What the installation video doesn't mention is to be sure to bleed all the water pressure from your lines before disconnecting the old pressure regulator. That thing was a geyser.

40-60 psi well water low pressure shut off switch
I like the low water pressure cut off switches that protect your well pump in the event the well water is low. This switch arrived fast and a good brand name. The pressure switch was set dead on at 40-60 psi. I did not have to do any adjustments and it is working just as it should. I have tested this switch to see if cuts off if there in no pressure and or well water and it works great. We rarely run out of water but I like that just in case with a good well pump being in the $1,000 range. I would much rather buy a $40 switch than a pump. Great product and a fair price.

Great product, but beware initial start-up procedure
This was a replacement for a 40 year old nearly identical switch that was without the low pressure cutoff feature. I did not really feel it was necessary, but I opted for it anyway. After installation I powered it up, a process in which you must engage the low pressure lever until the pump builds adequate pressure to stay on, in this case around 40 PSI. Much to my dismay, there was a loud pop and sparks flew inside the cover, tripping the breaker. Even though I had triple checked the wiring, I checked it again and then again. Everything was exactly as it was supposed to be. I reset the breaker and tried it again. Mores sparks the second time, but the breaker did not trip however the pump still did not engage. I took the cover off and checked the power feed to the box, 220v exactly as it was supposed to be. I decided to be brave and remove the cover and tried engaging the lever ever so slowly and gently. After barely moving it upwards, the pump kicked on, I held it steady until the pressure built to 40 PSI and the switch cut off at exactly 60 PSI. It appears that I was just moving the switch ever so slightly too far, causing a short somewhere in the circuit. I cycled it about a half dozen times and it works flawlessly. I deducted one star for the stress it caused me until I figured it out.Bottom line: This is a quality product with a quirky start-up process. Don't be afraid to buy it, just be aware to be very cautious and gentle any time you are engaging the switch.

The one I received says Square D on it, they are the same company.
Pictures of the inside of the one I received. I ordered this (Telemecanique sensors FSG2J24M4CP 40-60 PSI Pumptrol Water Pressure Switch) I looked this company up and found that they are the same company as Square D and make the Square D products. I bought this to replace the one, also Square D, currently operating the well pump so when it fails, I can replace it. The one currently operating the pump was bought on Amazon and put in by me in 2020. I bought this one in 2024 due to multiple times of the pump not coming on and ordered it in case I needed it. I checked the bladder tank and found that it was low on pressure and have not had the issue since bringing the pressure up. But when the switch does stop working, I have one on hand. Square D is known as a reliable company and from my experience are good products.

Works well, as a pressure regulator with a low pressure shut-off safety
Bought this for our home water supply pump, we run off a holding tank to the pressure tank. If the holding tank goes dry then the pump can burn up before we catch it. This pressure switch works great to save the pump. We have it set to kick on at 40psi and shut off at 55psi, if the pressure dropps below 20psi it shuts the pum off until you manually restart it, keeps the pump from continuing to run when the tank is empty.

It Can Protect Your Expensive Pump
IMO, this is one of the best pressure-switch one can or should install to protect a pump, especially if you have a water well. A good quality water pump can be expensive (I paid over $400 for ours) and can easily get damage if your well water level is low or if there’s a leaking pipe. I know, as it happened to me a while back. What set this pressure switch apart from most is that it incorporates an auto shutoff feature that can protect your pump if the water pressure drops below 20 PSI.This switch is factory set to turn your pump ON (cut-on) when the pressure drops to about 40 PSI and turns it OFF (cut-off) when the pressure reaches about 60 PSI. But it can be adjusted to any where in between, maintaining a 20 PSI differential pressure…that is if you don’t adjust the short adjusting nut on the pressure switch.Note that if your well has a bladder type tank, you should adjust the switch to match the tank air pressure or vice-versa. Of course, you should follow manufacture recommendations, but normally your tank air pressure, when empty, should be 2 PSI below the cut-on of the pressure switch. For example, since this switch cut-on pressure is 40 PSI, the air pressure in your water tank bladder should be set to 38 PSI. But please, make sure you follow manufacture recommendations or get professional installation. Regardless, I recommend this pressure switch…it has worked for me extremely well.
