Good Vacuum
As described - Great vacuum - fast shipping - good price! Was a little leary about buying "refurbished", but glad I did and very happy with product!

Good vacuum, good value, not perfect.
Bought the Shark to replace an aging Dyson which had gotten progressively less powerful, to the point where it could barely pick anything up. Cleaning and tuning no longer improved things. Bought the Shark as an Amazon renewed item and as such it was a very good value. indistinguishable from new but at a much less than new price. Overall, I am happy with the Shark but it does have flaws.Pros: 1. Great price (Amazon renewed). 2. Great suction. Shark is not kidding about this. The suction is really good but may be at least in part due to the relatively smaller cleaning head, about 1.5 inches narrower than the Dyson. Smaller surface area should equal more suction and it does. The smaller size is not a disadvantage. It maneuvers and gets into tight places well and the smaller size does not mean slower cleaning. 3. Not too heavy. Feels about the same as teh Dyson.Cons: 1. The dirt cup is deceptively small. This is probably its biggest flaw. It looks bigger because of where it is located- in front and partly around the cyclone, but the majority of the space is taken up by the cyclone. It fills up very quickly and if you have pets, plan on emptying it often. 2. Cord could be longer. I need to change outlets several times where the Dyson only needed one change for the whole house. Not a huge deal, IMHO. 3. The description says the filter is washable. This is only partly true. Only the prefilter is washable. The HEPA filter isn't. Not a huge deal either but it is an extra expense.Overall, I am satisfied and would probably get a Shark again, although the company seems to be loading the newer models up with electronic gizmos which add questionable value in my opinion and may impact reliability. I picked this model because it was simpler. Again, good value as an Amazon renewed item.

Used twice and it stopped working.
This is my 2nd Shark Vacuum, this model was "refurbished". I used it twice and now it will no longer turn on. Amazon contacted the reseller "Good as new Electronics" and they replied that it was beyond their 30 day return policy and that the 90 warrant expired (by a week). So I spent $300 on a vacuum that worked twice and stopped working. This was not refurbished to be "good as new" so buyer beware do not buy from this company. The junk they are selling as refurbished breaks. Don't risk your hard earned money with a vendor who does not stand behind their products. Amazon should revoke their ability to sell on Amazon. Trust me, pay a bit more and only buy new.During this time period Tampa was hit with 2 hurricanes. My power was out for a week and my internet out for 9 days. So the vendor said sorry you missed the window for the 90 day warranty. Nothing like capitalizing on the misfortune of somebody without power or internet to make a few bucks. This company had the opportunity and step up and stand behind what they sell but instead showing there true values. Vote with your wallet and don't buy from this company.

Best vacuum I’ve had!
We own a residential/commercial cleaning business, a carpet cleaning business and run a decent team. I buy probably 10 or so vacuums a year. I’ve bought quite a few different sharks over the last 4 years. The only one that has held up and we can fix ourselves has been this one. We buy the renewed for around $150 everytime it is on sale. You do HAVE to properly maintain and clean them regularly! That’s the biggest mistake I see people make. If you don’t take the roller out and clean debris out it will stop working eventually and cannot be fixed. Pieces of hair get caught in the corner and once packed in there you cannot get it out. The suction is amazing, which can result in getting unwanted items in the hose. The only flaw is that there’s no easy way to remove them with the angle. We have literally had to cut the hose to remove a slipper we got at a clients house. Luckily, replacement parts are not too expensive and we buy extras for back up. Wash your filters! You can also buy replacement filters which are reasonable and well worth it. I wash them in warm water with light detergent and oxi clean. Air dry and they smell amazing when you use them. We use our air compressor to clean out the vacuums once a week along with the HEPA filter, which you can also buy a back up of and I recommend. Also, vacuums are not meant to suck up everything on the floor. You do have to pick up items that shouldn’t be ran through a vacuum in order to keep the life of your vacuum going. Don’t run over liquids. Don’t drag across concrete. Take care of it and it will last!
