Fantastic
These are gorgeous and were super easy to install. I wanted them to have a brass looking so I lightly went over them with rub n buff. They are good solid heavy metal. I could not be happier with these and highly recommend them.

Nice but more just bronzy than oil rubbed bronze
They're pretty nice but definitely expected a darker finish. Metals also a little thin compared to the traditional piece they're replicating

Beautiful and heavy.
This backplate was a beautiful edition to my crystal doorknob. It really added a nice touch to the home office door of my victorian era home. Highly recommend for an elevated vibe.

Very Authentic-Looking
I have quite a few antique doors with missing backplates in my old Brooklyn brownstone, so this was an almost perfect replacement part. I wish they chiseled out a keyhole, but other than that, this is a well-made and great looking backplate.

so-so, finish is the big issue
first for people who aren't familiar with some of the older door hardware, remember to check dimensions. Both the shaft size and distance between the spindle and the key lock can vary although there are some common sizes.As to the product: It is heavy and the basic build is okay. My problem with it is the finish. I ordered the oil rubbed bronze. To me it does not look like any oil rubbed bronze that I have seen. The back plate I have looks closer to the picture they show for their antique brass back plate. I took it around and compared it to the lights, wall plates, fans and thumb turns that I have in the rooms with oil rubbed bronze fixtures. These fixtures are from different companies but all look the same. When I walked into the rooms with just a glance you could tell the finish from the this product didn't look then all the other oil rubbed brass fixtures and wall plates.The other finish problem I have with this is the gloss. Whenever I see a oil rubbed bronze finish it has a matte/satin finish, basically not glossy. When I got this I picked it up to look at and moved my hand a little to see it from slightly different angles. When I did I noticed something odd, in the flat part of the back plate I could see myself. It wasn't highly noticeable like a mirror but still I could see myself.
