This shoes is very suitable and comfortable.

not for long trips
this is my third pair of Lowa's and I really do love them, however, I specifically purchased these for a trip to Italy where I would be doing a lot of working. The soles are very hard and after a few days, my feet were hurting so bad I had to buy a new pair of shoes. I don't know how they would be for hiking, but for lots of walking as a very comfortable walking shoe easy on the feet, these are not good.
