They installed without an issue. Tested fine once installed.They do have a flashing light that goes off every minute to let you know they're working, and I was concerned about them being in the bedrooms. But the light is subtle enough that you really don't see it and it isn't disturbing.Without the house catching on fire, don't for sure if they'll work. Assuming they will.

I bought two of these smoke detectors. I removed them from the boxes and removed the yellow tags as directed, but neither of the detectors worked when I tried to test them. I went through the Amazon process of complaining only to be told to contact the manufacturer via a telephone number provided. I talked to the manufacturer's representative and explained what I did. He told me that the detector had to placed into its ceiling attachment bracket before trying to test it. I did this and both detectors worked as required.I am quite satisfied with the detectors but the instructions could have been a little clearer.

Very neat nice noise it makes. Sometimes it misses the stove smoke (like ten fifteen times) but like once or twice it went off while i was doing not much anything

I used to use the hard-wired detectors so that I don't need to change the battery frequently. This detector comes with a built in 10 year battery, so I no longer need to hard wire my detectors. I can just install it forget it. Plus it's very easy to install.

The media could not be loaded. I hardly ever write a bad review, but I need to on this. This says it lasts for 10yrs, but it's not even close!!Date of manufacture: June 29, 2023We bought it: Nov 2023Today's date: June 16, 2025Today it malfunctioned or the battery is dying. Not sure which.Whole story: When we bought it we installed it in our temp controlled basement (never gets freezing/overheated). Today when I got home with my small children it was doing the 3 beeps. Not the 3 beeps every 40sec as if the battery were low, 3 beeps constantly, like there's smoke (but there isn't any smoke and none of our other smoke alarms (which are a diff kind) are going off). It does the 3 beeps for a range of time, 5-15 min and then turns off on its own if I don't press the silence button. Then it restarts beeping a bit later. I've tried pressing the silence button and I've tried taking it to another room in the house, it still restarts beeping. Sometimes it's silent for several seconds or several minutes before restarting, and there was one time it turned off for almost an hour before restarting. This detector hasn't even lasted 2 years. Don't buy this.
