Sharp Value
This was my first knife, and I purchased it for a camping trip. While my partner is experienced with many kinds of knives (such as folding outdoor knives and various chef's knives), I have a history of clumsiness and have been intimidated by them. I wanted a knife that simple, but would not let me down when I needed it.This was a perfect fit for me. It's a fixed, full tang blade, so it is incredibly strong. It's easy to hold and comfortable too, and was lightweight enough to carry on my belt all day, every day.The sheath is almost like a hard case and is very rugged. It took me a while to get used to the amount of force it takes to remove the knife from the sheath, but I think that's a good thing for personal safety and to not lose the knife. When worn, it kept sliding around on my belt, but I think if I had used a better belt it would have stayed in place. The blade seems short at first, but it's sturdy, safe and dependable. I mostly used it for cutting rope and preparing kindling but having it at my side was also handy for cutting fishing line and opening packages while cooking. Finally, the sweetest thing about this knife is the price. I looked at many lower-quality knives at this price and higher, and this one goes above and beyond. I have only brought it on one trip so far, but I have no doubt that I will have many other opportunities to put it good use.

This knife has it's own style and attitude. Not a copy, as good/better than any CRKT or MTECH for $.
Very strong, well built knife that I found fit very well for my purpose of a neck knife. This is the largest neck knife I have now. Although, to my surprise it conceals and lays as flat on my chest as the CRKT S.P.E.W. That's a huge compliment, for those familiar with that blade. It is strong, attractive, and sharp Enough to shave out of the box. I was able to achieve the beautiful and razor sharp edge in the pictures with only 3 passes on a finish stone ( my preference but not needed. Knife is ready to go upon opening ) and a few strop strokes. For now, the value/ cost ratio is off the charts. I've found NO other neck knife of this strength and overall versatility. I added a piece of cord with a breakaway! ( Pictured) Don't tie your own noose. To sum it up. Enjoy a knife I've used for a neck knife, although it seems to have many mounting options with the sheath belt adapter. I supplied my own cord and breakaway.

Good knife. Lackluster holster
I got this knife for my 6 year old son as his first knife to use as a neck knife during our outdoor excursions. It fits in his hand perfectly and I feel like it is safe enough for a child to use without having to worry about his hand slipping and contacting the cutting edge. It is a great first knife for a kid. I don’t want him carrying around a pocket knife yet, and this knife is big enough to not have to worry about sneaky kids trying to hide it from you.Onto the knife itself. It is a little small for me, but for him it is perfect. It has a great full tang and the scales feel excellent in the hand. The steel leaves a little to be desired but for the price it’s serviceable. It can also be sharpened easily. The knife itself is 110% worth the money. For this price I am absolutely satisfied with the blade. The sheath is where my main complaints come in. Ours is a very loose fit, and I wish the belt loop could be removed. It works and it holds the knife well enough to be worn upside down from the neck, but I wish a little more effort were put into the sheath. However, for the price, it is certainly acceptable, and while I do wish it were a tighter fit, it will not fall out.Overall the knife is absolutely worth the money and I think these make excellent first knives for children. I think kids need a fixed blade before they get a pocket folder. I feel like they the safer option for a child to get used to carrying a blade and how to handle one safely. I would absolutely recommend this knife to anybody, especially in the neck configuration.

Great little neck knife !
Look sturdy. Felt like a quality blade. Love the sheath. It is very sharp out of box and comfortable in the hand. It is on the smaller size, but it will make a good back up blade.

A good hacker knife
Overall, I was not very impressed with this knife. Granted, it was cheap, so I couldn't expect much. I sharpened it with a lansky guide and diamond hones, but it just didn't get quite that sharp.I brought it with me on a recent camping trip, and although I was able to slice some wood slivers for starting a fire, I felt like I had to fight it the whole time. If you are struggling to use a knife for detail work, you've got the wrong knife. If you are struggling and you're out in the middle of nowhere camping, that's no good. Thats the situation I was in. This knife would basically work for opening boxes and cutting string, that's about all I would trust it for. For me, personally, that's actually what I bought it for. So for what I need it for day-to-day, it works "ok". But I feel like this knife should be good for so much more, it just isn't. It couldn't spark a ferro rod, I struggled with carving feathers off a stick to make a fire, I just had an overall tough time with it.I want to like it, it fit very well in my hand, it felt very secure in the case, and hanging off my belt I never felt like it was going to fail or fall out. EVERYTHING about this knife is great, except the blade! So I will give Schrade the benefit of the doubt, MAYBE I didn't sharpen it good enough. But this thing was as dull as a spoon when it arrived, so at least it got BETTER after sharpening it. Watching some videos, they show the knife working well. So I will understand if the operator (ME) was the problem. But I've never had problems like that with a knife before so, who knows. Maybe I got a defective unit, or perhaps I just hadn't gotten it sharp enough.
