It has a very strong smokey smell. The flavor is concentrated, so you don't have to use a lot. There is sugar in both liquid smoke flavors, but it does not taste sweet.Since it is concentrated it will last you a long time.I think it can be great to use it for making candles, due to the strong smokey fragrance both flavors have.The hickory flavor is true and very strong to the taste of hickory.
