Perfect for our needs
We bought 22 of these about a year ago as replacement knobs for the public stairwell doors in a high rise condo. they were installed on open air breezeways on a waterfront building in Florida. They still work great, smooth turning, easy open and really nice looking. Residents AND maintenance staff are happy with this upgrade.

High Quality but non-adjustable backset
This is a great, high quality passage handle. Materials and finish are very nice and it has an extremely smooth action. Works in either direction. Again, everything is very high quality and it should last basically forever in a residential setting.The only qualm I have is the fixed 2-3/4" backset. For something like this, I think that's unacceptable. Would it have killed Master Lock to use a standard style latch (the one they use is not standard)? And if not, why couldn't they at least offer a 2-3/8" option? I made it work by clearancing my existing door handle hole. Thankfully, the trim piece is large enough that it can cover the difference in backset so I did not need a scar plate. Still, I'd rather not have had to mangle my door for the handle. I took off 1 star for this.Overall, I'm happy with the end result but modifying my door from 2-3/8 to 2-3/4" backset was a PITA.

Solid door handle and easy to install
We purchased this set to replace a door handle replaced a few years ago with a set purchased from Home Depot. The Home Depot unit should have lasted longer.This one looked more solid and we have had good experience with Master Lock in the past.Only time will tell.
