Work well if you use them correctly.
So I was a little conflicted based on the reviews but ended up ordering these and they work really well for my use case! There's a few caveats though I think trip a lot of people up judging based on the other reviews.First, these require a certain amount of output power from whatever they are connected to in order to work and they are not amplified internally (not getting into technical details here just at a high level). Some devices I have can drive them adequately including my cellphone but others can't including an old MP3 player I happened to try. On the devices that do work I find I have to turn the volume up higher than usual to get clear audio.Second, you need to place them in a certain location on the side of your head to really get the full effect. If they are slightly off they will work but the sound will be very muffled or low volume. If they are way off they don't work at all for me. Luckily the headband places them in about the perfect place on my head but sometimes when I wear a hat over them I need to move them around a bit to get them to sit correctly.Third, even when they work perfectly they are not going to sound great. The point of these is that they are wired, so you're not dependent on bluetooth working correctly in your environment, and they don't need their own power, so you don't have to charge them. If these are not things you want they you'd likely be much better off with a pair of bluetooth bone conduction headphones. Personally these work really well for my use case and I'm going to buy another pair to keep as a spare in case the first ever breaks.I never use the microphone on them so I can't comment on how well that works.

Didn't work for me
I sarcastically gave a 5 star review for noise cancellation. That is because the headphones cancelled ALL noise, including what you want to hear. No instructions came with the headphones. Could hear nothing at low volume and could barely hear anything at full volume. Moving the headphones around to different bone areas helped, but the best I could hear was a super low volume in my ear with the device cranked up to full volume, you really had to strain to hear anything at all. I bought this cheap pair to see if it would help my hard of hearing father (he heard absolutely nothing) and my hearing is fine and I could barely make any sounds out. Tried attaching to different devices like my iPhone, HP laptop and even my TV and the results never changed. Definitely not worth it, but the investment was relatively small. I consider it a failed experiment in trying to help my father hear while he is attempting video calls.

Actually pretty good!
I didn't know what to expect, but once you get used to the sound (it is a bit different than traditional earbuds), they work quite well. I am on my cellphone a good portion of the day for work.Downside: A little tight on the head, but kinda has to be in order to make contiguous contact with the area over your hearUpside: Traditional earbuds are way too loud for me even with volume at minimum, these give me far greater control over volume and they don't get gunked up from ear wax (sorry to be gross). These are wired, which is great if you have an existential problem with Bluetooth radio waves right on your skull. The microphone works great, everyone hears me better than on my store bought ear bud set. And one last great feature that I'm sure is overlooked by most, the wire is a flat wire, which in my experience lasts far longer than the traditional circular wires commonly found on headsets.

Great In-Ear Monitors for Live Vocalist/Musician!!
Lead engineer for church worship team, and a musician vocalist/guitar player. (30 years exp music/audio engineering) Plugged these into our Sennheiser In-Ear monitor pack with the church PA, and its perfect! Played live this past Sunday (guitar and vocals). I can hear the Aux Bus mix w/click & backing track, and all other instruments while maintaining the open-ear live feel. Way better than sticking the ear bud in and drowning everything out on one side of my head.Better clarity would be a plus, but I was able to overcome that with my EQ settings in my Aux Bus mix. Totally simple to boost essential frequencies to account for each person's specific sound equalization needs. Better to have flat response headphones that I can fine tune as needed based on my sound source. This can be a personal preference, but keeping both ears open to hear the congregation, bandmates on stage, and keeping essential personal mixes without losing that live on stage feel -- you can't beat it! I love my Aftershokz, but they don't make wired. These ones are great, and I'm buying 4 more for the rest of the band... except the drummer; closed-ear phones for that guy!

Good, but quiet
Overall, these are pretty decent headphones. I'm using them with a small pocket radio and foam ear plugs. I need to wear hearing protection at work and these work quite nicely when I'm wearing my PPE; they actually sound better with ear plugs in than without. As other people have pointed out, they are fairly quiet and don't have the best sound quality, but they're also passively driven (non-amplified) and relatively inexpensive. The build quality is pretty good too, I don't feel like they're going to break if I sneeze too hard like many other products I've encountered.Edit: about a month later the wires have started to fail at the 3.5 jack. Dunno if it's poorly made or if I'm just that hard on em.
