This was a great upgrade. If you are not an idiot you’ll figure out how you want to plumb it. You’ll have to use Teflon tape on all the threaded fittings, which is normal. Pump is quiet and powerful. Pump is prewired for simple plug in but you’ll need a timer like an Xmas light timer. Filter is simple and no issues so far. The kit gives you what you need. Instructions clear.

A great pump and filter system. Do yourself a favor and build a nice sturdy firm base for it all to mount on. Then make sure you get a good heavy duty cord if you're running an extension from an outlet. The lower the gauge the better so that the motor doesn't overheat. Figuring out all the setup can be a little bit daunting but it's really not as complicated as it looks.

Good value. Only issue was connecting the shut off valve, there were no instructions for where to install it. And hand tightening to the in take of the pump, the casing on the pump cracked with some Teflon tape to seal it. JL bond mix and a larger metal tie strap sealed it. Now it won't be coming off when we put the pump and pool away come winter.

I bought this to replace my original cartridge filter pump combo that came with the pool. After a full season of using the pool with this new pump and filter, I am extremely happy with this purchase. It greatly reduced my maintenance time with cleaning the old filter and it kept the pool cleaner and the water clear all summer.
