Cheap and easy solution to my Bluetooth woes
I used this for a stereo in my garage. The built-in Bluetooth from this radio would constantly disconnect my phone, even after resetting everything. I gave this adapter a try, and it works great. I'm sure I lose a bit of clarity going from Bluetooth to aux, but for the garage, it's a perfect solution. It connects to my phone right away and stays connected unless I go too far away.

Great Bluetooth unit for a vehicle
This is a great Bluetooth module for the price. I use it to plug directly into the aux port on a vehicle. It starts back up once I turn on the car, and connects right away. Yes, there’s a slight buzzing sound, but only when the unit is plugged into usb and charging without playing anything. Once you start streaming to it, the battery stops charging and the audio is crystal clear. The microphone works for calls, but it’s not great. For streaming on road trips, it’s wonderful.

Product was as advertised and works well. Charges quickly and connects smoothly.

Works well, life-span is questionable.
I've had this for 10 months. I plugged it into the Aux-in port in my car and it does a fine job of streaming audio from my phone. It's even good enough to carry on a phone call while driving and I've also connected it to my work phone & use it for conference calls when I'm driving, with no complaints about noise or audio quality from other participants. I cannot comment on battery life, as I plugged the USB cable into the adapter and into the 2nd port of my car charger and I just leave it plugged in. It's charging every time the engine is running. It does a pretty good job of staying connected via Bluetooth. Sometimes, it does too good a job - it'll remain connected to the phones when I walk into the house and when I go to answer a call, the phone is piping the audio to the adapter in the car. I've gotten in the habit of turning off the adapter as I park. For the first 7 months or so, it worked really well. Over the last couple of months, the audio announcements ("power on", "power off", "device connected") are starting to get truncated - I don't get the full announcement, both the beginning and ending of the announcement are getting clipped. Additionally, it will sometimes turn itself on - there are times when I'm going for a short drive and don't bother with turning it on, but I'll suddenly get (some of) the "power on" and "device connected" messages out of the blue. For the $18 I paid for it in Sept '24, I guess it's a reasonable value. The price has dropped a buck or so since. I do have the feeling I'll have to purchase a replacement sooner rather than later. While this works well, I'll probably look at a different brand in the hopes of finding something that will last longer.

Amazing for cars w/o bluetooth!
I normally don’t write reviews, but I just had to sing the praises of this little device! To preface all of my comments: I drive a 2011 Chevy Impala that is well used, and I have driven about 10k miles since I bought it two years ago, using this device almost every time I am in the car. 1. Connection This automatically connects to my phone every time I turn it on since I paired it. Sometimes even if my bluetooth isn’t on yet! The pairing process was super easy, considering I can barely remember doing it. It connects to other devices easily if I turn my bluetooth off, but I hardly ever have a need to do that. One con is that I have accidentally left it in my car during extreme cold or heat (I live in the Northeast so we get both) and it will have some issues with dropping connection for like ten minutes before returning to normal. I don’t consider this an issue since any electronic will have issues after sitting in a freezing or boiling car for hours. 2. Music This plays music through my speakers better than an actual AUX cord, which always has some staticky background. This plays my music seamlessly as if my car had bluetooth originally. Even when I’m maxxing out my volume, lol! 3. Battery life I believe I only really charge it like once or twice a month, depending on how much I drive. Now, I don’t drive a lot compared to others so this may vary, but I would say I get a good 6-8 hours of use before I charge it. This has remained consistent over two years of use. I also keep the charger in my car and just plug it in when it tells me to. It will work while plugged in as well! I’ve done that a lot. 4. Maps and music I’ve frequently had music/a podcast playing while I have directions going on my phone as well. It will play the audio just how your phone would. Music is softened to hear any directions, and podcasts are fully paused until the directions are done being read. Again, I’ve never had any issues with that in my use of it for road trips and longer drives to college and such. Apologies for the lengthy review but after two years this thing is still working amazing and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to make their older car bluetooth-capable!!!

Plus & Minus
Pluses: 1. The form factor is very good 2. Battery life is excellent. Minuses: 1. Main button stands out from housing and is sensitive enough that it can easily be turned off by accident. 2. The voice notifications ("Power On, Connected, Power Off") are extremely loud, and I don't see any way to lower their volume (which combined with Minus #1 above can really startle you).

The J22 bluetooth receiver is a fantastic little unit that allows you to play music and podcasts on your old-school car stereo (as long as it has an AUX auxiliary port). It is extremely predictable and reliable once it is paired to your phone, immediately connecting when you power it on. It runs for 10+ hours on a single charge (which is via a USB-C port). It will automatically power down after a few minutes of being disconnected from your phone - great when you arrive at your destination - and avoid having to keep charging it. Sound quality is very good - at least as good as CD. It comes with both a short audio cable and that nice direct adapter for connection to your car head unit.Much better than finicky other bluetooth adaptors I have tried.

Installed this in a 2007 bmw with premium sound system and paired to samsung s22. Pugged in, paired, played music and podcasts in minutes. Sound quality is very good. It's a very small item and easy to store in the cubby where your Aux port is. I was going to by the name brand unit at three times the price but I thought what the heck, lets try the cheap one. It's perfect. Highly recommend.

Was a present for my wife and after several months she told me that it was not fot for purpose; too late to return the product.

Decent audio quality, supports AAC codec on Android. Very good battery life and it supports USB PD chargers. Includes male to male adapters, both an inline one and a cable. Love that the cable is included so the receiver can be hidden far away in some compartment if you use it in a car. Minor things of note: It does not have a separate volume control on the receiver itself so keep in mind if you plan to use it with earphones (there is also no clip). It also seems to have a strange issue with audio very occasionally cutting out for a split second but it doesn't bother me too much. After you set the volume on your phone the receiver seems to also change your volume slightly after a while so it's within one of the "increments", I suppose so that the volume buttons on the device work as expected.
