Samsonite Classic Multi Gusset Toploader Briefcase, Black, Double Gusset 17-Inch

I searched for a new, larger laptop computer case when I got my 17" HP Envy notebook computer. I read about the bags, looked at pictures, went to stores to look at them, and read reviews. I found a consumer guide that rated this product #1, a Case Logic model #2, and the Three Gusset 17 Samsonite Classic #3. I already liked this Samsonite Classic Two Gusset 17" as my first choice. The features of #1 and #2 were about the same. #3 is wider, and has an extra compartment for files, clothes, etc. I chose the Samsonite Classic 17 Two Gusset, and have used it, and I love it. The Samsonite build-quality is outstanding. It looks good, and works good. The middle compartment is where the computer goes. It is retained in a padded envelope with a Velcro retaining strap. In that compartment, there are three pockets for peripherals drives, CD-DVD's, directional recording devices, or other items. I used those three pockets for cords, adapters, mouse, and my Pocketalker hearing device. The pockets are big enough to neatly place more than one item in each pocket. These pockets are separated from the computer by the computer padding. The back compartment is for document files, magazines, paper tablets, etc. The back pocket has two dividers, and a couple inches of room. I put in files, tablets, and my iPad in the back compartment. The front zipper compartment has pockets inside for cell phone or calculator, pens, business or credit cards, and room for miscellaneous items...flash drives, miscellaneous office supplies like clips and post-its, high-lighters, breath mints. The smaller front sipper compartment is great for important papers like hotel reservations, plane tickets, car rental docs, and directions to event centers. Mine is not used, and I know how I like to fill and organize it. I like the fact that the case is firm and holds it's shape, and the fabric appears to be indestructible. The should strap works perfectly, and the handles are comfortable. If you need more room inside, as in clothes or many big files, I'd select the Samsonite Classic Three Gusset, but this one is perfect for me. Amazon price was about 1/3 of MSRP. A great buy.

Ordered this for my new Gaming Laptop Lenovo Legion 17.3" and it fits perfectly. Don't have cram it in. Goes in smooth and vice versa. Material feels real good and i like the way it looks. Feels durable but that is yet to be determined as i have not put it to the test. Quality is there definitely. Padding for the laptop is only front and back (not 360°). Plenty of room for the laptop, huge charger brick, external hard drive, portable anker charger, and still room for some files(maby a 1" slim binder in the 2nd gusset. Pictures show size comparison (empty and full) and texture of the bag. Update Aug 2020(the year we all hate) The bag has held up more than expected. Its been almost a year and the bag still looks new. No problems with it yet and its holding up good. I am able to hold my laptop,wireless mouse and pad, charger(brick size) portable charger for my phone, a notebook, countless pens and pencils with a slim 1inch binder and still have room for more cables. Definitely worth the money.. next update will be about any flaws that occur (hopefully I won't have to update)

I realized quickly that my small iPad case was not going to be enough for all things I ended up carrying along with it. It also always seemed as though I was carrying around more things like paperwork and binders. So I did my research for what seemed like a few months. I was looking for something that wasn't to complex, had easy access and was attractively put together. This portfolio has pretty much everything I was looking for. The front has two zippered pouches. The smaller is just over 11" wide and I used it mostly for one-off things, like tickets and receipts. The second larger pouch contains the usual pen and business card holders but also contains another small zippered enclosure. I haven't really used this smaller internal one yet. On the opposite side is a large full width zippered pouch. This is where I usually stuff things I need to address as soon as I get to the office or home. I often leave the item hanging out part way so I have visual reminder. This is great for thin folders. Behind this pouch is s standard pass through so you can slide the entire bag over a luggage handle, freeing up a hand while you're travelling through the airport. There are two main divided areas accessed from between the handles. The largest has a zipped that runs down the sides to approximately 80% of the total height of the case. This makes placing the thicker binders inside a snap. Inside there is a single fabric divider, and I place my iPad on the side closer to the middle, providing a little more protection. At any given time, I probably have two to three soft spine document binders in there, with plenty of extra room. The second main area also houses a cloth divider (thicker) but also has three smaller sub pouches. This entire area is where I keep my extra cords. I carry one for my iPhone, iPad, bluetooth iPad chargers and cables, a portable battery backup power supply and other assorted attachments. The cloth divider has an elastic velcro tab to lock down items stored there. I don't use this because it prevents quick access. The handles are well built with solid stitching. There is also an adjustable shoulder strap. Overall, this is a solid product that I'm very pleased with. It's professional looking and meets the need to today's tech user.
