The button on the handle, which interrupts the flow of water, works and is easier to push than the original. I doubt it will get stuck in the pushed-in position like the old one did when it got older. The hose is more flexible which means there is less pulling when in use, and it coils and fits into the storage place like it should. The old tips fit into the handle just fine. It installed easily with a Phillips screw driver. So happy I didn't have to buy a whole new appliance!

-1 star for not fitting in the holder on the WP-660. Its a different shape.-1 star for using a momentary switch for the wand - press to pause. If not an on/off, it would have been better for press to use.EDIT: the two design flaws together mean when the wand falls off the stand, it leaks everywhere.Plus it now has an actual leak where the tube meets the wand. Junk.Will see if I can get a genuine replacement.

Only works properly with waterpik on very low pressure setting (2 or so). At higher pressure levels the stop buttom will stick in OFF position if pushed. It takes about 3 hours after turning the waterpik off for the pressure to release the button. I've tried to remember to turn the pressure down before pushing button but keep forgetting and end up with a pile crap. This is just not working so I will spend the extra $4 for a genuine product.

This was a repair job for my water pik. It was simple and easy, obviously designed that way for a part that will eventually fail because it is a flexible plastic tube and is the part of the water flosser that takes most of the use in normal use. I had already removed the failed part. The new one went on in its place and it's back in business. Better than buying a new one, altho I did that too because I wanted one with a larger tank.

Installation was pretty easy and it fit like the original part.The original handle had an on/off slider instead of a "push to turn off" button (maybe specific to the 660 model?)Works well. The hose looks like the same kind of plastic as the original. Took a couple of tanks to remove the plastic smell from the water, but after that was fine.Happy with the purchase.

The original handle had a two-position on/off flow valve that could be set to the OFF position. This one has a pushbutton that must be held down to stop water flow. That is annoying, and far less convenient. The original hose coil retracted neatly into the cavity in the base when the unit was not in use. The coil on the replacement doesn't coil neatly. I wish I'd ordered the right replacement from WaterPic.

I was happy to get this replacement part. It was cheap and really easy to install but it does not seem that the water pressure is equal to the original. Which when you thinkAbout I it, is petty important foe a flosser. Also it works a bit differently. You push a button and hold it to reduce water flow versus a switch which totally turns the water off. Got used to it after spaying the bathroom a few times but it is different.All in all you get what you pay for.

Worked reasonably well for about 2 weeks. This doesn't have a normal on/off switch like the factory original. Instead, it has a button that turns off the flow of water when you press it in, for as long as you hold it in. Otherwise, it's on. Well, after using it for a couple of weeks, the button no longer popped out when you let it go. Now, it's off all the time. Useless.
