Follow Instructions and Get Near-Spray Quality Finish
First, I had never painted a boat and was dubious about reports of near-spray quality results with any of the boat paints. My boat is old so I figured anything would be an improvement. I chose Total Boat mainly because it was easier through Amazon. I mixed two parts Yellow with one part Fighting Lady. (Can't add pigment. You have to mix Wet Edge paint instead).I was amazed at the smooth finish of the final paint job. I think that it is 85% of a spray job. If I had thought that it would turn out this well I would have been more careful with the primer coats and prep.Advice: Painting outdoors is challenging. Each coat takes several days to dry and then you have to fight rain, humidity and temperature. I finished it in the garage and it was a snap. For me, the primer was really thick, went on with a lot of orange peel and it dried slowly, and it was clumping during sanding because I didn't let it cure (all problems were user error). When the primer was cured it was easily sanded down and may have helped with smoothing the fiberglass imperfections. The primer prep is he key to a quality paint job. Take your time here. The paint went on well. The first coat had some orange peel because I put it on too thick and didn't have a quality paint brush. It was remediated when I sanded it down (again, wait for it to cure!). I applied the last coat uncomfortably thin with tip and roll, and it turned out marvelous! It took 1 gallon of primer and about 1/2 gallon of paint for an 18' boat.Use a 1/8" foam roller (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0168S0ETE?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) for the areas you want to look perfect, and use a true badger hair brush (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000N9LE80?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1). It is worth the money for this task.

Best paint for my old 1986 fiberglass wash tub.
This paint is amazing. I’m not a painter but I had no trouble. My first coat I mixed with the recommended thinner 10 % Because I had read to do so or you would get runs. I did it with a brush for the corners and along the bottom sides and rolled the rest with a foam roller. I had to keep watching after I painted it to brush or roll out the runs. After it dried ( I let it sit 2 days. ). I sanded a few small rounds and painted the second coat with no thinner in it and it seemed to be easier with no trouble of runs. It turned out amazing. Like a new sink. I have used it a lot and not one scuff mark or peeling at all. Will post again in the future if I see any flaws but so far the best paint I ever used.

Easy to roll paint laid down well to a slick surface
Overall a great paint for boats, I ended up sanding, cleaning and applying a first coat of a white primer even though the paint didn’t call for it. Then sanding and washing, applying the first coat of paint, sanding and washing 2nd coat and sanding washing and applied a third coat of paint then buffed with a Maguires polish

Well I bought two cans of this and I cannot afford to redo my tub and enclosure right now it is all pitted and scratched so I put two coats of this on and it looks so much better until I can afford my new tub enclosure so thanks

Fantastic products pool entryway restoration
This was my first time using Total Boat productsThe top edge of our pool, steps, entryway had cracks so when doing a restoration with a Bondo product and then putting the Total Tread Kingston gray, we love the texture and sheen, but the color needed a little more depth so after calling the manufacturer , they recommended Wet Edge product we intermixed Kingston gray with the black until we got the color we we’re looking for. We are so very happy we used these products. Sheen is not too much and the non-skid is just enough. We are very satisfied and happy. We use the pool heavily over this memorial day weekend with over 40 people and dogs going in and out and it has held up with no signs of failure or scratching. I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing to redo any type of fiberglass area as it worked fantastic for us.

Great product
I am a DIY guy with little paint experience. This was my first time using this product and also first time painting a boat. Please learn from me and thin the paint 10% the first time. I tried getting it done with one thick coat and it had runs all in it. The paint is very thick right out of the can. Once i got the runs out and actually followed the instructions it came out like glass. I used the roll and tip method, foam rollers and cheap 2-1/2” brush. This is a 14’-6” boat, was able to apply 2 top side coats and 1 coat on the hull. Still have plenty left for my last two coats on the hull. When I went to the garage the next morning after painting I thought it was still wet. However, it was dry and looked like wet glass. This stuff is amazing once you figure out your thinning % you like. Good stuff, I will definitely be using again.

Perfect product to paint pool slide
This is very pricy for the amount you get. However it goes a long way. I painted my pool slide with 3 coats and the edge of my diving board with 3 coats and still have half of the can left over. Hopefully it holds up!PS..the slide becomes almost like watching Clarke Griswold with the saucer in Christmas Vacation.
