Works Great But One Quirk for Arizona
My father has Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma and has been steadily losing his vision over the past few years. I initially purchased this watch for him in 2017 when he was 84 years old. He immediately fell in love with this watch! The voice is very clear and loud enough for him to hear it, so easy to use by just pushing a conveniently placed button. He wore that watch every day and probably pushed the time and day/date buttons 100 times a day. He would show it off in waiting rooms at various Dr. appointments and at grocery stores and likely generated a lot of sales for this company. That first watch lasted 5 years. In 2022 I purchased this same watch as a replacement, 2 years later, he wears it daily and the watch still works. I can't even overstate the value of this watch in terms of joy and sense of freedom it has given my dad. However, while the Atomic feature is great there is one quirk for states that do not do follow the daylight savings change (at least in AZ). When ever a time change has occurred my dad has had to manually make a change to get the correct time. His vision decline has him limited to low level peripheral and this task has become increasingly difficult for him over the years. My husband has helped but my dad is a very proud man and likes to be able to things on his own. I saw my dad yesterday and he had fidgeted with the watch and it was way off time wise. I know part of it is his vision and I think the watch may also need a new battery. At his point I'm going to try purchasing a non-atomic version for him to lessen his frustration. I will of course take his current watch and put a new battery in it so it will be available as a back up. This really is an amazing watch and my husband and I joke that it's likely one of the single best, most used gifts we've ever given him. I highly recommend this watch for it's general ease of use, clear speech and true joy and sense of freedom it gives to it's users.

Good choice for a visually impaired person
I purchased this watch for my 94 year old father. He is blind, hard of hearing, and has limited manual dexterity. He rejected an earlier talking watch purchase - unable to hear it.He loves this watch.Audible and easy to activate. Sensible design - speaker on front of watch, voice activation button easily accessible and only button on front of watch, no mechanical watch movement (eliminating a possible point of failure).Be aware a sighted person who can follow written instructions is needed to set the time zone. Don't expect an elderly visually impaired person to be able to setup the watch. I don't consider this to be a problem. Either the caregiver can do the setup or the caregiver can find someone to do the setup.A good choice at a reasonable price.

Cannot change voice - what a piece of crap!
Initially, I said, "Very good product, would prefer a voice without a British accent as I find it hard to understand at times. It would appear that there is no way to download or select a different voice. This is the ONLY thing I do not like." That has now changed.Fast forward 5 months. The watch automatically puts the time zone in the Atlantic ocean. Cannot reset or change it. Then the next day the watch stopped talking totally. I sent an e-mail to customer support - silence. No real answer. I did receive an automated reply saying that "someone would contact me about my e-mail". That was about it. Sent a second e-mail to customer support. Nothing. This watch is now without support from the manufacturer, does not tell time properly, cannot be reset, and does not talk. No number to talk to anyone about a problem and no address to mail it back to them.It is good for absolutely nothing for the blind - a waste of money. I would not buy this again.

SOLUTION TO A PROBLEM
Like many other reviewers I bought this watch for an aging parent(my Mother in-law) who is having trouble seeing a standard watch or clock. This is the second such timepiece that I have bought her, she was unable to use the first because she usually couldn't find the talk button. This watch solves that problem because it's talk button is large and on the face side of the watch plus she is able to hear the synth "voice". Setup was easy and the manufacturer sent me an e-mail link to a set-up video the day before the watch arrived. I downrated this watch 1 star because it is very inexpensive and I am concerned about future durability and splashprooofness. If the watch fails at it's price I guess that I can buy another in 6 months and still be ahead of the game.

My Brother Loved This Watch!
My 70 year old brother had macular degeneration that rapidly progressed. His vision became so poor that he could no longer see the wall clock let alone a wrist watch. So I searched Amazon and thoroughly researched comparable watch descriptions and read the reviews; finally choosing this one. I could not have picked a better "fit" for my brother. He loved it from the start. It keeps super accurate time and is easy to "reset" if needed just by placing it in a window as the instructions state to do. It comes with an extra battery but I purchased this watch in April 2022 and it is still going strong with the original battery!Personal note: my brother passed away October 2023. I have the watch and I can still hear him saying "I love my watch. Thank you Sis." which brings both tears and smiles.

Sound is low and not clear
I got this for my father who has recently lost his vision and of course being 88 years old the hearing is not super either. He has some trouble feeling the flatish button to push and the voice sounds Brittish and low not very clear at all. No way to adjust volume and just an FYI I have clear skies and this never resets or find the radio frequency, have to manually set many times he cant see to not hit wrong button.
