Seems to work well
The first thing I did when I received it was used a multimeter to check for continuity to make sure it would actually work, and it all checked out fine. It seems well made and durable, does what it's supposed to, has good grip on the alligator clip, and has a nice color. I chose this one because I didn't want to cheap out on a low quality chinese product that wouldn't even work (as a lot of reviews on cheaper ones said they failed continuity tests).

First time building a pc! Worked!
So, I actually wore this around my ankle instead of my wrist when I built my pc (didn’t want to accidentally knock something over!). It worked out and my pc turned on without dying haha. As long as it’s attached to something grounded, you’ll be fine

Successfully built computer with no issues
I bought this to wear while replacing my motherboard and cpu. It booted up fine so as far as I know this did it's job well.

great item
It came with a mat that was too inflexible. I would have kept it but sent both back. Loved the band. Use a radio shack ESD along with a mat that folds like an apron.

STARTECH ANTI-STATIC WRIST STRAP REVIEW
I recently changed the ram chip in my desktop and decided I should use a wrist strap. Didn't have one so I ordered the Startech. Like all wrist straps it's a rather simple device: a velcro band, a coiled wire and an alligator clip. The band fit my wrist nicely, the coiled wire was of sufficient length and the clip possesed the necessary spring tension to keep the clip in place. I am satisfied with my purchase, and I recommend it.

Beware if you have allergy to nickel
I guess this product works as designed; it's hard to tell if there was any static to take care of. However, the user is allergic to nickel and it caused him to break out. We didn't know if the functioning of the product would be affected if he covered his wrist in a bandage to prevent this reaction, so to be safe, he did not and therefore suffered a rash. Unfortunately, the only way we realized there was a problem was that the rash developed, so I am just warning anyone who has a similar issue that you may not be able to tolerate this (or maybe any, for that matter) Anti-Static Wrist Wrap.

Passes resistance. Do not test continuity.
These have a resistor so don't expect it to pass continuity. Measure ohms over 1M. Now that I understand that, it passes with flying colors.
