Q: Anyone else having problems with rust?.... I just received mine and washed them as instructed in warm soapy water and I have rust on the caps!!

Hand wash immediately, dry, then put in the oven while it's still warm. The heat evaporates the moisture. I do this with all of my metal bakeware

Q: what width sandwiches does this make?

The flower shape is 3" across, the heart shape is 3 x 3", and the pointed star shape is 3". Make sure you spray it good with Pam and stand the tubes upright to bake.

Q: are these bread molds made of stainless steel? are they non-stick coated?

They are made of Stainless Steel but I spray them, including lids with cooking spray. After I wash an dry them I place them in a warm in a warm oven to dry thoroughly. They are worth this extra bit. I used Pillsbury French Bread unroll it and put cinnamon, sugar(at Christmas a use red and green sprinkles) and currents or mini chocolate chips. Reroll and you have this beautiful swirl effect. Or use pizza sauce, crumbled bacon and cheese for Pizza Bread. I have many different recipes I've made up. It's good for parties. .....put ice cream and freeze for cute shapes. Kids and adults love it. Hope that helps.

Yes - the french bread works the best (Pillsbury or similar brand). Spray the inside with lots of Pam & even the outside of the loaf to avoid sticking to the sides.
