Didn't fit as expected, but still made use easy
I got this to help my daughter put handles on her new cabinets. The holes that we needed to use did not line up as I expected with the bottom of the door template. We ended up marking the center of the cabinet and then I placed the template over the center line where I wanted it. Good that it was clear and you could see through it. The drill bit lasted through installing 17 handles just fine, and I used a smaller starter bit too. I also marked the holes I was using with a marker on the template so I wouldn't accidentally use the wrong ones.A tip I thought of on the last door - if you need to put markings on cabinets - use painter's tape over the area. Mark on the painter's tape, make your starter hole, then remove the tape - no marks on cabinet to remove afterward.

Straight as a Laser
Here is a few tips...1. drill your own holes in the template, if needed (measure 3X before drilling just to make sure). (red circle's are my holes)2. then use a torpedo level (or larger) after marking (with a pencil), to make sure your marks are level with each other, (your cabinets my be off just by a minute amount).3. then use a nail punch to pre-start the holes you will be drilling.4. check your punched holes before drilling (easier to patch a micro dot than a hole going through the entire cabinet door).I have attached a photo showing the knobs on my upper cabinets, there are actually six knobs, although it only looks like one knob.I also used the "Dewalt DW1169 14-Piece Pilot Point" set (less chance of the drill walking on you when start your hole),purchased here on Amazon (naturally).I was able to drill and mount my new cabinet hardware in no time...which left 1/2 the day for me to relax.Great investment.

Perfect for uppers. Not so much for drawers.
Made my cabinet door knob project super easy. Used the Sommerfeld easy mark hardware drilling jig for drawers and would highly recommend that system. But the Sommerfeld tool is not for the upper doors single knobs I used. My only real complaint is that the holes in the plastic jigs are so small I had to sharpen my pencil and twirl the pencil in the hole to make the drill mark. This could be easily fixed by drilling out the holes a little larger. I installed knobs in 14 doors in less than 15 minuets. Took longer to un-package each knob than to mark and drill the holes. And, I did use both templates simultaneously to install 3 longer pulls which made them square and uniform. Love it.

perfect, easy to use, plenty durable
worked great. will last for many many repairs. i drilled pilot holes for 40 pulls with a 1/8th bit. right through this jig rather than the recommended procedure of using guide to make pencil marks. after 40 holes at all angles with minimal attention, my guide was completely unharmed. ignore others concerns regarding wallowing guide holes out or duribility. PRO TIP: decide what pair of guide holes you intend to use. take 2 small dabs of painters tape the size of a pencil eraser. pot tape right over the desired holes and poke it through with 1/8th drill bit (NOT INCLUDED) and then double check against your door pulls/ handles. with the desired holes marked and no need to squint / recheck/ second guess, job will go quickly. i drilled pilot holes using gthe guide and then used the larger bit supplied to make the hole large enough for the included screws that are 3/4 inch long by the way

This guide is exactly what you need for adding handles to your cabinets and drawers. I suggest marking the holes that you want to use, so that you are sure you use the same width on each cabinet. Also, take your time to get a nice tight fit and at the same spot on each door. Lastly, after marking the spots, and before drilling, eyeball the marks to see if the are in alignment. Each door can be off from the next by a little bit because of the hinges and when they were hung originally, so you may have to move you marks so the handles look even when does.

Good product overall, but required some modifications
This was a useful tool but I had to modify the vertical template. Unfortunately, the vertical template only allows you to place the 4" handle in one spot which we thought was too low on the cabinet door. So I had to cut the lip off the bottom and tape is back together. The horizontal bracket allows you to slide the handles up and down depending on the height of the drawer so I wish the vertical template allowed for the same. Other than that, this definitely sped up my measuring and the project overall. I would recommend this product.

Handy little tool!
Great little tool! I was trying to install drawer pulls that had 4 screw holes & it was a bit tough to try & get them lines up. I attempted to make my own template....ditched that idea! Then I found this! I didn't give it 5 stars because I think there could have been more options - I had to make it work for what I needed! I'm sure it will come in handy for other things as well!

Must have for remodel!!
Can't put pull on without it!! This is Vital to putting on pulls and knobs on cabinets. We used it in our remodel and couldn't be happier with the consistent results. Quick tips: use a Sharpie to mark the holes on the template that you use for each type pull to easily find the alignment and make the whole install easier. Also, most drawers aren't EXACTLY the same so measure the drawer and cabinet door top to find the middle. Measure from the left and double check it from the right side and save yourself from drilling holes where they aren't lined up.

This product ended up not working for my modern handles that needed holes drilled that were 5 inches apart. I had to make a handmade jig instead. Also, the drill bit is not great quality. I tried it on one hole and switched to my regular wood drill bit that created a very clean hole without splintering the wood.
