Q: Will this work for s20 fe g780f (fan edition)?

No. This does not work on the S20 FE. The Fan Edition is the size of the S20+, and is larger than the S20. I have the S20 FE and tried this case. It was too small. I ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G Case (2020) on Amazon and it works great.

Q: Is the front raised to protect the screen ?

Front of case is raised a little (maybe 2mm) at the top and bottom of screen. On the sides, it is almost flush with screen....probably less than 1mm.

Q: How slick is the case? i had one for a s7 and the plastic back was grippy. when i got one for the s8 it was very slick. is the one for the s2as well?

The case is not sleepery on your hands. It has a soft plastic on top of the phone screen. the same plastic helps on having a good grip with your thumps . The S20 phone, no longer has the age Curve. So its more easy to get a good hand hold .
