GWC AR2500-5M USB 2.0 Active Repeater Cable/USB Extender - New

First it worked sporadically right out of the box. Come to find out the box end was easy to twist around and messed too much with the connections. Eventually it just stopped working within days. I originally bought this one because it looks exactly like one I bought off eBay before. That one still works great. But I did notice they looked like they came from the same manufacturer. Maybe they started using cheaper material or cheaper labor. Anyway, I switched to ioGear's 33ft active cable, they're name brand and been around before the internet. It's been in use in my garage for month's now and works perfect, even though we get a lot of rain and humidity year round. It just survived our worst winter in 100 years. The cable stays on about 12hrs/day, every day. I guess you really get what you pay for!

I used this for my webcam. I needed to mount the webcam roughly 48 feet from my computer for presentations. I also had to use another USB repeater to accomplish for my application. [...]So far I don't have any problems.
