Use a USB hub to recharge your phone? That's fine, but it probably takes 300% longer to recharge your phone that way. This 4-port hub is programmed to detect when a port is being used for recharging, and will boost the current up to 1.5 amps (7.5 watts). In all other respects, it makes an excellent and compact USB 2.0 hub for any computer.
