Great set.I pay $7 extra for cleats when I get my western boot heels replaced.These are about $1.50 a set.When the first set wears out after 2 weeks from the shoe shop (I walk 1-1/2 miles a day and dance outside for 3/4 to one hour 4 to 5 days a week),I remove & replace cause I know where to install.Now,for 12 weeks I’m only spending $10.Was spending $94.To install I put boot in between my legs with heel outside,hold the small nail with a needle nose plier and with a hammer pound in nails.Doesn’t take long.

Greetings!These heel protectors are really thick and I think are going to work out pretty well compared to the thinner plastic ones I used to buy.The only complaint I had was that the double stickum tape they provide is EXTREMELY thin. You won’t have much trouble removing the tape from one side, but the other side is nearly impossible because the double stickum tape is so thin. You could probably remove it with a razor blade or an X-Acto knife, but you’re not going to be able to remove it with your fingernail. I finally gave up and took the suggestion that they provided and used superglue on the heel protector.

I can’t understand the negative reviews. The taps were exactly how they were described and were easy to apply to my shoes. If you read the instructions it says to use superglue as the first option before you add the nails. Then using thimble push the nail far enough in to make it easy to hammer the rest of the way. There is an inset so the nail head sinks into the tap to prevent scratching the floor. Easy peasy.They are made out of the material that is needed for the job. If they were softer they would not work. I’m pleased.

Didn't last long on my shoes, but maybe I don't have all the tools, the adhesive didn't last and the nails were hard to nail in

Very dissatisfied.The two sided tape is useless near impossible to use.The nails provided are brass? They bend so easily. Better off just taking shoes to a repair shop and having the heels replaced.

Adhesion is rated high only because I used a brand of superglue as the manufacture suggests. I just put these on three different kinds of shoes. It will be a matter of time to judge the durability. I purchased this particular brand because it listed the spec as being leather. I didn't want floor marks that some rubber produces. HOWEVER, the product is not leather as far as I can determine. It is some kind of molded substance. The value made it worth keeping and trying on my worn shoes.

Applied these to four pair of shoes and waited about 3 weeks before writing this review when the first one came off after heavy use and fast movement playing pickleball.1. You absolutely need to use something like super glue with these because the nails are not enough2. I pushed the nails partially into the soft rubber sole with side of screw driver before using a hammer3. They are soft and will not last as long as the old ones I had applied at shoe repair place years ago - expect replacement on heavy use shoes about every 4-8 weeks (still pretty good in my opinion)4. I overall still recommend them for price, easy application and protection of wear on shoes
