Business Arabic: An Essential Vocabulary

This book is very useful. It distills essential and functional Arabic vocabulary that is not only useful for "business" but also for any day-to-day and office-related conversation. What keeps me from giving it 5 stars is just that it is only a wordlist. It does not provide any cultural or contextual information, nor any definitions or information about usage, grammar, word-formation, etc. It's only a wordlist, albeit a very handy one. I do recommend it, in combination with a good, informative Arabic-English dictionary, especially for working on conversational Modern Standard (fus-ha) Arabic. I purchased it for improving my Persian and Turkish, since there is a great deal of overlap in more technical vocabulary among these languages.

I did not expected it to be a glossary, but it is comprehensive and very useful. Most of the terms can be used in other fields. It is very comprerehensive. Thanks for the index; its useful.

Nothing in it you can’t find in a normal dictionary, it’s definitely not worth the price for 1500 words, the equivalent of a small article
