3M, hands down, are really the best surfacing pads and I wouldn't be without them in my tiny shop. They last a great deal longer than lower priced imported varieties and they don't blow apart into tiny red clumps when you really put the hammer down and increase the speed and pressure. Overall, I would absolutely recommend these pads and I keep several versions in my tool chest at all times.

You do pay more, but if you don’t want to have projects take twice as long to finish, 3m is it. I always looked for the cheapest, but their stuff is so much superior to everything else that it’s worth the extra $$. Never been disappointed with 3m!

We use these in our automotive repair business and they cost a lot less than when we buy from the auto parts store.

As other say, they don't last long but they do have certain things they are good for like gasket prep, light surface rust removal and light paint removal. Notice I keep using the word "light".....

I don't EVER do a brake job without having these surface discs available. I have run out during a mechanic job and had to go to a bunch of places and pay HIGHER for just 3 discs. Never again. I buy by the box now and when it gets halfway down, I reorder. Same seller gives me the great shipping time and makes super awesome deals to buy more than a box at a time. Seller knows what GREAT mechanics need and how much. I use this on a mini 90 degree air die grinder. Works super great and just one full turn and the disc is locked into the holder which also comes with EACH box.

Just got these today, good delivery service! If you have the disc pad holder, these are a time saver! I have used these before in some of the sheet metal shops I worked in for buffing material prior to painting and cleaning rust off metal before welding, works way better than wire brush, I use them in my air powered grinder, so much faster, 3m is always a great product and USA made, Great price too!

The price was good on this product and I use these for lots of projects. The remove paint, gaskets, and light to medium rust for paint prep. I will purchase again if price is good.

Despite what the description says, these discs are NOT for use in conjunction with Roloc disc pad assembly 05540 (3"), they are 50mm (2") in diameter.

These are great discs but only flaw is 3m knows they are great. Very expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for.
