Since 1996, all Wedgwood,RoyalDoulton, Waterford,Royal Albert stopped manufacturing them in the UK and started outsourcing them in Asia. They made this public, they never deceived people. Its less frail, much bigger in size than the vintage ones. I have been an avid collector and most of my pieces has stamped and were made in england. WWRD is now owned by Fiskars, a finnish company. Wedgwood have very few rare and collectible places still made in England, but they are highly priced. Hope this helps! :)

Is the background blue or green?

The one that I got is light green, but I think it also comes in blue. It's not as green as it looks In the picture, in fact it is almost blue. But it's very beautiful. I think the blue one is actually brighter.

What color exactly is this mug? Someone mentioned powder blue, but it looks minty green on the picture here... please clarify. Thanks!

I have aqua accents in my kitchen and it blends right in. I would say it is a pale aqua green. They are beautiful. Love them.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas as she has recently started drinking tea. It is a beautiful teapot and a lovely large breakfast cup. I liked the design because it was traditional, but the polka dots give it a modern twist, and everyone knows that tea tastes much better from a china cup - I've done a blind test and it really is true! My daughter loves it, especially when I showed her how the teapot and cup stack. The packaging is beautiful and it makes a lovely gift. The only negative thing I have to say is that I had not seen the set and from the picture I thought I was buying something blue - my daughters favorite color. In fact it's a very pleasant greenish color. When I saw the set I thought I would send it back and get the blue design which I think is called polka blue, but there wasn't time before Christmas and I'm glad I didn't as she loves it anyway. I looked on amazon and couldn't find this particular set in the blue design anyway.

This is nothing like those other tea for one sets. The teapot is just a miniature version of a full sized one and it’s just so darling!! The cup and saucer are quite a bit larger than your usual cup and saucer. It’s a perfectly adorable and fun way to make teatime special. And if you use normal sized cup and saucers, it makes a lovely little tea for two when you don’t want to use a large pot!
