I really like there is no blade pointing out, and you can set them down without trying to tear and hold them at the same time. The container is sturdy with rubber "feet/buttons" on the bottom, and they stay in place when cutting (that is the picture with the orange button-looking things). They are made of thicker cardboard but have a coating on them that should last a long time. I took my opened aluminum foil and open plastic wrap rolls and put them right in the boxes, and they fit perfectly. I did not have any parchment paper, so I used theirs, and it rolls right off. They all did come with full/new rolls, which I just put away till needed. I do not think they would fit those jumbo rolls from like Sams/Costco. I recommend all of these items, and their design on each box is different, so you are not confusing, which is foil or plastic wrap. They are charming.

We use a lot of parchment paper around here. We make pizzas every Friday night and bake at least once a week. Parchment paper is definitely the way to go and we were tired of fighting with the box that the paper comes in. I almost didn't buy this item when I realized it was made of cardboard. And honestly, I am not nuts about the design on the outside. Even a solid color would be better - but it lives in a drawer so it's not deal breaking. At any rate - We love this thing. It arrived already loaded with a roll of paper. There is a magnetic closure that keeps the end of the paper from rolling back into the box. and the slide cuts the paper cleanly and quickly - no fighting, raggedy ends, or wasted paper. And it is made from very thick, high quality stuff that seems nearly as sturdy as if it were made of wood, but lighter to hold. It bears only a passing resemblance to what you think of when you hear the word 'cardboard'. I am confident this thing will last us a good long time. Everyone here feels it was a brilliant buy. The only thing you might need to consider is that the box is quite a bit longer than a regular box of parchment. I was actually a little surprised. It still fits in the drawer - I just had to rearranged a few things.

What I enjoy about their whole line of products is how durable they are, even though they are not metal. The different colorful motifs on each one help me recognize the product I need in my drawer. And cutting parchment, foil or saran wrap has become an easy job. No more tearing the foil or parchment crooked, and saran wrap sticking to itself. I simply line up the ChicWrap box next to whatever I want to cover, pull that amount over the dish or baking sheet, run the cutter across, and it's a perfect cut every time. Only once did I have a problem, when I did not return the "cutter" to the far right or left before cutting. The cutter needs to grab the edge of whatever you are cutting....not the middle.

I finally caved in purchased this because I love Costco‘s parchment paper, yet I hate the box it comes in. I never had the patience to get the right size piece cut to fit I considered buying pre-cut parchment paper, but really wasn’t sure where I could store it. Now I happily use my rolls of parchment paper. This box was ridiculously expensive, but it works and I think it will last for years.
