Good book that paints broad strokes
This book has been an excellent resource for reading about big production projects. There is some information in this book on how they make their armatures (skeletons) and build gromit which is was great to see and gain an understanding of this process. The book is focused on the aardman way which is not the only way but it gives a big vision for any animator to work towards.

Built with first quality paper and hard cover...
I've just received the book, so I didn't read it yet; but I was taking a look at it and all I may say is that it was built with first quality paper and hard cover...I will be able to write about its content when I've finished reading the book...

awesome resource
You might expect Ardman would hold back some of the keys to the temple, but this is really a great resource for anyone interested in the step by step process of claymation/stop motion animation. Fantastic book.

Cracking Good Book, Gromit!
Aardman is one of the most admired animation studios around, known by animators and regular people alike as the creators of beloved clay animation characters like Wallace and Gromit, and the "Creature Comforts'" pent-up zoo cat ("I need space!"). This book will be devoured like candy by anyone wanting a closer look. The text provides a well-rounded animation primer, but it's the pictures that really make this book such a valuable reference. Clay characters are removed from their backgrounds and depicted clearly in frame-by-frame movement sequences that demystify even the complex animation sequences. It also offers practical advice on building characters and other handy tips for animation production. If you are doing clay animation of your own, you'll refer to this book again and again. In the UK this book is titled "Cracking Animation" for the cheese-loving Wallace's favorite complement.

One of the best
It is very rare to see a motion picture company like Aardman open so many secrets to the audience like this. The book is very interesting, and shows a lot of real tricks I didn't see anywhere else. Besides, the long chapter about the history of puppet animation is essential to anyone interested on this subject. A must for both fans and aspiring animators.
