takes a moment to put on and doesn't come loose all on it's own. really helps get leverage for pouring and holds up great. The orange grip on it is comfortable and helps it get a grip on glass. Highly recommend

Back in the old days before these handles were even invented, a home brewer would have to hand grip the carboy by the neck and tilt it to get the other hand under the bottom to move it - which could spell disaster if hands were even slightly wet/slippery. Imagine 4-5 gallons of brew crashing onto your kitchen floor...not pretty. Fortunately that never happened to me in the old days; all that said, these handles make it really easy to lift and transport a 5 gallon glass carboy. The ring that fits around the carboy neck is (as you can see by the picture of the product) adjustable to fit different sized carboy necks.

love this product (FastRack FE510 Eagle Brewing Carboy Handle) for helping me to handle (heavy) full carboys. I use them on 4 gallon plastic drinking water carboys. Granted - the full carboys only weigh about 40 pounds, but still - being elderly - the full carboys are plenty heavy to carry. But by installing this handle, it becomes a much easier job. It was a bit of struggle to install the handle on the carboy but that is a one-time issue. and i attribute the struggle to the intense sturdiness of the construction of the handle. these handles are STURDY to the max ! And despite the handle costing me more than the carboys i attached them to, i still think they are a good value and a giant help.

Works great for carrying the heavy glass carboy, but the cap to our bottom-load water cooler will not fit on the bottle if this handle is on there. It is very hard for me to get it on and off the glass bottle, so we probably won't be ordering more for that reason. Otherwise it's a great little handle!

This is a very helpful item for carboys and other containers it will fit on. If you're installing this on a glass carboy, I *strongly* suggest you never, ever pick the carboy up using the handle! The weight of a full 5 gallon carboy might break off the carboy collar. Place one hand below the carboy while supporting the upper part by holding the handle on this product. Works great! Fairly easy to install and simple to use--recommended!

Really helps me Handle my carboy! (<= see what I did there. You can use that.) It makes lifting/controlling/gripping the neck of the carboy so much better. It is for making it easier to work with the neck of the carboy, not for picking up the whole thing when its full by just this handle. I still use two hands where I did before but I no longer worry about a slippery, wet, carboy neck slipping out of my hand when I am washing/shaking/moving it. It fits the neck of my 5 Gallon glass carboy perfectly. By perfectly, I mean that it has a little wiggle so its not crushing the glass but there is NO WAY it could slip over the ring above it and slide off.

Description says it will fit a 3 gallon glass bottle but it’s is too loose.
