Salomon XA Filter Lid with Bite Valve for Soft Flask Bottle

These straws fit right on my soft flasks, but I was not expecting the straws to be so long. They are literally over 10 inches in length including the fittings. I no longer have to crane my neck to drink, but rather have to manually pull the straw down into my mouth from beside my ears. I am not sure I have achieved an improvement yet. I now have these huge antenna bouncing around next to my head. I thought of putting an orange triangle flag on them like my kids' first bikes had...you know, for high visibility. I figured I would just trim the tubing, but after a few tries I fear that I will just break the plastic fitting on the ends trying to remove them. What gives Salomon?

Bummer it does not fit my Salomon Speed flasks from circa 2018. The threads fit my Nathan soft flasks though, with only one starting thread. If your Salomon flasks have two starter threads like mine... this filter will leak and thus not filter anything.

The threads of this filter were not compatible with my Salomon Softflasks (Speed, 500 mL w/ 42 mm opening). The bottles wouldn’t seal and this filter was worthless to me.
