Well worth it. Solid A.
I wanted a DVD player that not only had a USB port, but played the mp4s and other video files I had. I had a cheaper brand TV with a USB that didn't play the videos, so this was key. I also didn't want to spend a lot on a new DVD player. This Samsung "renewed" Blu-ray did the trick. It has played all of my DVDs, store bought, my ripped & copied DVDs, and most importantly, the USB plays all the files off of my flash drive. It remembers where the movie left off even if I had removed the flash drive, so nice bonus feature. The large button on the top for eject, play, & all that is kind of hokey and very sensitive. The remote works well enough so I primarily use that. It came with an HDMI cable and was packaged securely.I was prepared to be disappointed in a refurbished product, but this one looks and acts like new. I'd buy Amazon renewed products again.

BD-J6300 is the unit for me!
bought the refurbished BD-J6300 to use strictly in my outdoor video projector setup. The player works great for disks, the simple UI for the streaming services is basic and easy to navigate, which I prefer. The major apps, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc work fine and my setup is about 50ft from my router, outside in my front courtyard. No abnormal wait times for apps, etc. The unit I received had zero flaws visually, looks brand new and came in original packaging. Only con is I use this at night, outside, and it's impossible to read the button wheel on top of the unit (which aren't actually buttons that you feel at all, but more like touch buttons...which is cool but if there's no light good luck.)

Awesome picture quality! No issues
I think the movies look great, but interface is tough with some DVDs... Not sure it's the DVD or the player, but we get a message ”function not available because of disc restrictions” ... Can't just hit play... Have to go to scene selection... Also, when we hit stop it doesn't ”remember” where it was on all dvds... Overall a great player for $50... Add for refurbished - it's working great like brand new... So glad I saved the cash

Excellent buy!
Bought two of these and both of them are pristine! They do not look refurbished and came in excellent condition! It plays dvds as it should and the picture quality is really nice.

wary of refurbished (don't tell me I told you so!)
OK, I rarely write reviews. This player spec and Samsung in general is great. However, I went for certified refurbished and trusted that to get one quickly on May 2nd. It arrived as promised, and I hoked it up to the new 4K TV. It links to Samsung TV fine, has the network, menus and smart features, just as expected (and are on our other two BlueRay players). Unfortunately, it will not read a BlueRay Disk. After several attempts to play a blue ray movie on it, I switched to the DVD disk, and it worked fine. Later I tried the BR disk again, and it finally loaded - and worked for the five minutes i checked it. I thought it maybe had smudged surface i had finally got clean. I then left on an extended trip. Now, on July 2nd, back at home, I wanted to watch a movie. No joy. I have gone thru five different BlueRay Disks, it tries to load, gives me the proper screen on the TV, and finally ejects the disk saying invalid media and says to clean the disk or it is the wrong format. The disks are all amazon from Disney. They all play on the other Samsung players. It does do a great job with DVDs.I recommend you do not buy anything refurbished. In my case, I saved only a few dollars, have a nice DVD player, and I am past my 30 day return window. I will have to find the documentation and see what to do about the 90 day warranty, and how much it will cost me to get a working BlueRay player out of my $80+ transaction.

Works great.
Got the refurbished version and it looks and works like brand new. Got this for my 5 y.os room so she can watch her Disney blurays in her room instead of in the living room. Love that it's also a smart player and has Amazon, Netflix, etc.
